I think comparing covid to what's occurred since isn't entirely accurate, but I understand where you're going with that. Things were still affordable 5 years ago. Since then we've seen ..what, 20-30% increase in cost of living? It's not as much about 'sticking it to the man' as it is...
For the next 2 years, I'm not spending a penny on luxuries, travel, new media subscriptions, etc-- and I can technically afford to do so. My reasons are uncertainty and principle. Companies in nearly all industries have been whorishly greedy over the last several years, and I'm tired of it...
Dude, if a Jeep dealership nullifies warranty work on anything non-computer related due to a Tazer, knowing they are basically standard equipment for a vehicle made to be infinitely modifiable, that dealership needs to be shut down.

I'm telling you, their sleazy dealerships are more to blame than their prices. Or at least as much.
It was the worst dealership experience of any brand I've purchased, from sales through service. They reeked of desperation 2 years ago, I can't imagine how it is now.
I personally enjoy seeing all of these corporations (not just automobiles) who've been gouging their customers since the pandemic, suffer. A lot of them really should be left to go under with a big middle finger from consumers. I've stopped spending my money at quite a few places over the last...
