  1. Noise from front diff/ transfer case after gear install

Yes…they need to replace the yoke, not inside the diff, but going into the diff. The new driveshaft uses a more standard u-joint yoke.
  2. Noise from front diff/ transfer case after gear install

Yep….thats an issue. I did put in a new JE Reel driveshaft when I installed my suspension Lift.
  3. Noise from front diff/ transfer case after gear install

I also had Revolution gears installed. The rear has been good for about 10k miles now. after the front was replaced, it has been good as well for about 5k miles. I don’t think Revolution Gear is the issue…most likely the install.
  4. Noise from front diff/ transfer case after gear install

If you put the Gladiator on a lift and run it in 4wd it will make ton of noises like all hell is breaking lose. That is the computer trying to figure out the ABS and Traction Control. I think that is normal. If not that could be my problem as well, since that’s how it responded on the lift.
  5. Noise from front diff/ transfer case after gear install

Watch the RCV video for install of their FAD shafts. Quick but detailed video. I don’t think this is your issue though. See my previous post.
  6. Noise from front diff/ transfer case after gear install

I have gone through several weird noises since changing to 5:13 gears and 37 inch tires. I reprogrammed my computer to 5:13 at the shop with a Tazer. The first noise I heard was a sloppy/clunky/grinding noise in 4wd that turned out to be a bad install in the front. This was more noticeable when...
  7. Finally Got My Jeep Back IMPORTANT INFO for DIESEL Owners !!!

Do all inner fender liners do this, or just your specific brand? You may want to let the brand you used know so they can make buyers aware of the issue and take measures to avoid this issue. Maybe let us know the brand as well?
  8. Cell Phone Booster?

They do work, but not as good as you would think. You have to have some cell signal to begin with, no cell no boost. When it does boost, it gives you a stronger signal, but it takes away some speed. This is because a phone has multiple antenna, and a booster only has one. For the cost of the...
  9. Has anyone replaced or needed to replace the Transfer Case chain?

Looks like it’s been suggested, but take a look at the FAD. There is a TSB on replacing the bushing, intermediate and passenger axle shafts. Here’s an excellent video of the sound it makes when it goes bad. Fixed under TSB/warranty. Drove me nuts for months trying to figure it out. I only had...
  10. Steering Wobble Mystery

First check all the usual suspects and .make sure everything is torqued to proper specs. Then make sure your tires are properly balanced. Make sure your ball joints are good. If all that checks out and you still have the wobble then you need to upgrade the steering stabilizer. Don’t upgrade the...
  11. PSA Weird Noise Identified as FAD

The new replacement parts still use the Plastic Bushing...
  12. Wheels with Sting Ray Color Gladiator?

I have a few sets, Bronze and Titanium. Both look great, however every time I see one with Aluminum, I wish I had those. Maybe I’m old school and it just reminds me of beadlocks?
  13. PSA Weird Noise Identified as FAD

Noise identified and repair competed. PSA in case you hear it. A few weeks ago I heard an odd noise, a whirring/grinding noise in my '21 JTR that sounded like it was coming from under my seat. It happened mainly when going over bumps, but not always. I first thought driveshaft, but that wasn’t...
  14. random noise from right front wheel area ( video )

Old thread, but reviving to help others. Here’s a good example of what this issue with the FAD will sound like. I thought for sure it was a transfer case issue since it sounded like it was coming from right under my seat, and went away if putting 4wd. A friend in the Transmission business for...
  15. Question about XF1 coverage on 2020 Gladiator

I feel your pain since your warranty expired and the extended warranty won’t cover, but as others have said, these are wear parts and easily replaceable. The cheapest route would be to buy the factory parts from someone who already upgraded. Should be plentiful and cheap if not free. Plus it’s...
  16. Rock light mounting

I installed an 8 light system on my TJ. I used double sided trope to secure the light. Didn’t want to drill. Have done many black diamond trails and no issues with the tape. System works great and will be doing the same for my JT. If you want “rock lights“ then you must position them so the...
  17. 35 Toyo MT loud after 30K miles

Frequent rotation in the key with MT tires. If they get to the point where they begin to “cup” they will get really loud. I try to rotate every 3K (mostly street) 5K (mostly highway). Quiet as day one. As they age, the rubber will get harder and the tires louder, but minimal if rotated frequently.
  18. Best suspension for 37s

RockJock Pro 3.5. Get their Geometry Correction brackets and Johnny Joint Axle kit as well. If you’re really not concerned with budget, get their High Steer Knuckle kit. You will not be disappointed.
  19. tire options, comparisons

The best tire for what you are describing for your needs is the Falkin Wildpeak AT3W. Hands down the best in the snow, and the only one with 3Peak snow rating.. Great on road and off road for even tougher trails than gravel roads. Plus you can get Rubicon take offs from someone upgrading to...
  20. Travel trailer recommendations

We were in the market last year and went with an R-Pod 180. Weighs 2900 dry and 3500 loaded. Tows great. If you’re planning on towing in the mountains, I really would t go much bigger. The R-Pod is a lightweight design, narrower than most with a slide out. We chose the 180 plan as it’s perfect...
