Sorry just got the chance to reply. Looks like you figured it out. Mine fit without issue, as did the version on the wife's JLU. However, the one we put on the daughters JLU also didn't want to fit into the grooves beside the tailgate. I simply took a plastic pry bar I had and opened them up a bit.

My thoughts.... Unless you are proficient in re-gearing, or have no intention of going with a bigger tire, go with the Mojave due to the 4.10 gear. While 3.73s do "ok" with a 35" tire thanks to the 8 speed auto, the 4.10s do even better. Around here at least, a quality re-gearing is going to set...
