Oddly enough, the Beamtech S1 (which tends to be the most popular for Jeeps), isn’t much brighter than standard halogen (14% more Lux on low beam). In fact, on high beams, they have a lower Lux than halogens.
Agreed. When the fix for the steering gear box came out, I had to show up with a copy of the TSB and even highlighted the part that said “if the customer states any of the issues, perform the fix” because I knew the dealer would give me the old “well we will need to take it on a drive and...
One at 11 so I can easily Jeep Wave!
My heated wheel in my 21 gets good and hot then throttles back some.
My heated seats on the other hand, I usually have to kick them down a notch or two about 5 minutes in as I get too hot.
This is not 100% accurate. There was indeed a run of the metra adapters where the wires were reversed. However, it seems that has since been fixed.
It’s best to just check and be sure rather than assume they’re correct or incorrect.
I’ve posted this before when talking about gearing, so I’m just gonna copy/paste here for this one:
As for the gearing issue, the 8 speed auto picks up a lot of the slack when it comes to gearing.
For a comparison, the wife’s 20 Willys JLU came factory with 255/75R17 and 3.45 gears. It drives...
Agree with above. Single biggest and easiest upgrade to the Alpine is to replace dash speakers with either the Kenwood KFC-X3C or the Infinity REF-3032CFX. Both options are under $100, take all of 10 minutes, and make a noticeable improvement in sound quality.
From what I recall, the caps should be used with standard system and not used with the Alpine. Also, iirc, there is a bigger cap in the foam of the package with the Kenwoods (I may be confusing with the Kickers tho)
Edit—-scratch that, the Infinity’s had the cap in the foam packaging. Not sure...
Not really sure except for the things that Realtruck pointed out earlier in his reply.
I will say I ordered from @RealTruck recently. The item I ordered was missing a couple of the parts. Sent a message to Realtruck through here. Alex had it resolved in 2 days in a way which FAR exceeded my...
If you do intend to run at 34, I’d suggest setting the TPMS to 25, 30 at most.
Remember, the rule of thumb is 1 psi pressure drop for every 10 degrees temp change. So if your at 34 and it’s 80 out, a temp drop down to high 30s or low 40s can set off the alert when set to 30.
Also, not to turn...
If not mistaken, I believe you’re running 315s on yours correct? Just curious as to what pressure you’re running.
All the 315s I’ve ever run were anywhere from 28 to 32 psi.
I run my current 295/70R18 at 32 and set Jscan for 25. If I would set it for say 30, then a cold morning would be...
This for real! Certain models have a steel plate that blocks access even more. I’d challenge ANYONE with hands bigger than a 9 year old to do it in less than 20 minutes.
Its the reason I spent the extra cash on the extension cable so I’d never have to go through that again.
