That leads me to think you’ve got the latches too tight.
If memory serves, they should be adjusted to where they just slip onto the catch when in the open position. Then when clamped shut they pull it tight as should be.
Also, maybe check the support bars in the flip back front, the bars that...
Those straps in my pic are nothing more than the built in straps that help hold the top in place. They are there when the top on fully open and I don’t move them when I close it.
Two things come to mind as far as you having gaps at the corners…
1) You may have over adjusted the clamps. They...
I really don’t think it’s the LCAs causing the issue. I’m one of “those guys” who always recommends the Mopar LCAs every time the Teraflex level kit comes up. Mine drives so well, my wife is jealous that it handles better than her 2020 JLU.
Before Jeep decided to replace the aluminum steering...
Yes, by safari style I mean where it covers from front to rear, no rear window or quarters. Unfold the front, unfold the rear and you have basic coverage.
As for leaking, we drove down to Pigeon Forge last year for a long weekend. On the way, there were some severe rainstorms. At one point...
This will be my second year with the Voyager on my JT and third year with one on my wife’s JLU. Both run hard tops during fall and winter, Voyager during spring and summer.
It’s well worth the money to have a top that gives that “almost” topless feel but is there when you need it in a pinch...
So just to give you an idea, here is my JT….
80th Anniversary Edition which is based off the Sport.
1.5” Teraflex Leveling kit (which is around $100)
Vision Se7en wheels with 295/70R18 Falken Wildpeak AT3W (which is a 34x11.5) both from @Discount Tire for total of $1600 during a sale.

Bought mine last year. Swap the hard top back for the winter. I’ll see what I can do for video when I put it back on this year.
In the meantime, here’s pics with it folded back to front and front flipped back.
Thank you! Not much difference at all. This is exactly what I was wanting to see.
I put those exact lights in my daughters JKU and they were pretty darn good.
Thanks for the reply. I understand all the needed items for installing, I’m just trying to see how they look if anyone has done it.
More worried about if the 7” lights look too small in the opening designed for a 9” light.
I know there are brackets to install aftermarket 7” headlights instead of 9”. Given the price difference between the two when it comes to aftermarket leds, just wondering how the 7s look installed.
Hard to find any real world pics of anyone who has done it.
Please post a pic if you have. Thanks!
Thanks!
Mine just seemed to have an excessive amount of rake from factory. Idk if that’s common for the 80AE or not. I don’t mind still having some as it does help in the rare event I haul anything.
I had a lot of rake from factory with my 80AE Gladiator. I added the 1.5 Teraflex level to the front, Mopar LCA’s, and nothing to the rear.
I still have some rake, maybe 3/4, and I’m ok with that.
For reference, my tires are 34”.
I didn’t wire the turn as I don’t like the delay between the turn going off and the halo relighting.
I want to say the directions said the yellow wire by the harness tho.
I assume you’re talking about the Tykick lights that look like a triangle or warrior helmet?
I have those and wired the drl portion to my heated seat fuse (can’t remember the number right now).
Reason I went that route was because I wanted the animation and for the halo to be on with remote...
Been a Mopar man my entire 49 years. Funny how so many brands actually fall under that umbrella, largely due to Lees reign at the helm. There was the infamous Red Car ad which featured a Mitsi and a Lambo if I remember.
On a related note, the Conquest TSI was one of my faves from his era. That...
I have gotten rebates from them on two separate occasions.
If memory serves, it took around 8 weeks both times before I received my prepaid visa from them.
