$95.29 is the estimate UPS.com is giving me. If you're seriously interested I'd be willing to split shipping cost with you. Just let me know. You're third in line right now but I think the first guy (local buyer) is unlikely to show up.
It will only get worse. The Ram I had was to the point of leaving oil in the floor of my garage which is not only messy but dangerous to foot traffic. My Jeep was getting worse each time I crawled under it.
I agree it's not something you HAVE to fix right now, but at the same time I...
It has become blatantly obvious that VM will NEVER figure out how to seal a front timing cover. Or, maybe they just don't care.
The amount of money Stellantis is shelling out to repair all these Rams and Jeeps has got to be staggering. You're talking a minimum of $1,000 labor not including...
All EV trucks have the same problem. They aren't practical for the masses and they're too expensive and they're destined to be future repair nightmares.
GM wasn't happy with this so they went a step farther and made their offering also ugly as sin like the Avalanche.
It'll take a REALLY...
The Pennzoil Euro 5W40 was reformulated in the spring of 2020 and I never got confirmation that the MS-12991 spec was approved for the new formulation. I assume it is, but I've never seen it in writing since the change.
I think it must be though, because the Quaker State is the same oil in a...
This is the type of thing that makes a guy hate the internet. Too many ***holes on keyboards.
So to recap, this Jeep has the VERY COMMON timing cover oil leak. This dealership fixed my Ram and it never leaked again. They're really good. They will fix this Jeep and it will be right. AND...
Apparently you didn't actually watch the video, because I didn't trash it. And I even said the words I'm not trashing it. And I said it WILL be right, because the guys working on it are really good. But thanks for the totally unhelpful comments. What a great guy.
I've been communicating with them. They have the parts and a tech has already been assigned to repair it. And they will do it right. When they did my Ram it never leaked again.
Any smart shopper will contact the previous owner to ask about a vehicle before they buy anyhow, which is what I...
I'll admit I skipped through a lot of the e-novel on page 1. But I'll mention that this exact powertrain in the Ram stays as cool as a cucumber under any load in any weather. The engine has no cooling issues. It's the Jeep packaging that heats it up.
It has the very common timing cover oil leak. Parts arrived now and the dealer has an excellent diesel tech assigned to the repair.
Somebody should cash in on this Jeep. Would be a great jump start on mods/build.
Those costs are all a tad on the high side, but not horrible. I did a Steer Smarts track bar on mine because the axle wasn't centered from the factory, so it would only get worse with any lift.
The Z-clips are the dumbest thing I've ever seen. I'll never forget trying to assemble a Sunrider for Hardtop for the very first time. I think I actually cussed, and I don't normally cuss.
