In terms of driving experience, diesel all the way. And as somebody already said, it's not even close. With the GDE tune, you're at over 500 lb/ft of torque at the wheels and the trans is letting you have ALL of the power. Imagine running TWO of the 3.6L engines in series....that's the torque...
Goodness. Tough crowd around here.
Technically a goose neck is the better way to tow. It stresses the frame less and it lifts no weight off the steer axle. If I was going to tow 8,000 lbs (a goose neck with something on it, maybe UTVs?) I'd ideally rather use a goose neck than a bumper...
It's highly unlikely that I'd ship them. With the way things are today, a carrier like UPS would probably charge me somewhere between $150 and $200 to ship 4 wheels in boxes 2/3rd of the way across the country. If I'm only making $100 off of four practically brand new wheels I might as well...
Have no idea about the dash. In my opinion the dash is almost perfect now. But the console, well it's basically worthless. Storage bin is tiny. One cup holder sits partially under the console lid which interferes with it. Shifter is only inches from the AUX buttons which interferes with...
So, there'd be a cost associated with separating them of course. So I'd probably sell the wheels by themselves for around $300. I'd throw in the TPMS sensors for that also.
Guys, it's a 5.7L Hemi, not 5.8L. The only 5.8L I ever remember is the old Windsor 351 they used in a lot of Ford trucks back in the old days.
And insiders have said that the 5.7 Hemi isn't going away entirely. It'll likely still show up in the Ram pickups, and the next gen Challenger/Charger...
New take off Overland wheels, TPMS sensors, and lightly used Nitto Terra Grappler A/T tires. Tires are 265/70R18 LT-E. Lug nuts also. Ready to bolt on and go! $700. TPMS will only work with Jeeps built before June 2021.
So, 2022s are shipping with no engine cover? Sort of like Ford does with the Bronco?
I always take mine off to shed heat, but I still think it's lame that they don't come with them. It makes the automaker look bad and cheap.
What I think is funny is that 9.5 out of every 10 Chevy Tahoes and Suburbans I see on the road are being driven by a woman. Usually these women will be attractive and will have one child only, but they really love their huge land barges. I guess the other 40 square feet of unused space is for...
I've rented the 5x8 and the 6x12 trailers this year. I used a 2" drop and it was perfect. But, I have a leveling kit on my truck. So if yours is stock you won't need a 2" drop, just a regular 3/4" drop hitch will be fine.
Over the last 15-20 years, I've run every popular A/T tire on the market plus a few "off brands". I've also run many of the M/T tires on the market. I've used everything from 32 inches to 35 inches. Run them on probably 15 different trucks and Jeeps. I've had LT-C, LT-D, and LT-E tires...
