Q3 numbers showed continued growth for Jeep Gladiator, with the pickup selling 2% more in Q3 this year vs. last year, and 25% better YTD vs. last year.
This moves the Gladiator into second spot among midsize trucks. Now, only the extremely outdated Toyota Tacoma is ahead in sales.
Really? Well that's a bummer. I think the truck version has additional oil squirters. Maybe that's why we don't see it as often on the Rams. Real bummer if the SRT 6.4 eats cam lobes too though. :(
Looks like it's missing 2 doors also.
The only people interested in two door SUVs are young people with no children. And 98% of those can't afford a $45,000 vehicle. I can't believe Ford built that, considering that they've been watching 2 door Jeep sales shrinking every year.
Yes I suppose it has. I have towed at the ragged edge of surpassing rated capacity in the hottest weather with the highest humidity you'll find in America, and I've never seen my engine coolant or oil temps get hot.
Toyota garbage. BUT... I do love those mirrors. Substantially better than the junk Jeep tries to pass off as truck mirrors.
It also looks like they're hiding the control arms for a new coil spring rear.
Might we see.... GASP... disc brakes???
If they're going to do the Hemi, do the 6.4. The 5.7 has pretty widespread cam/lifter issues, and costwise it wouldn't save anything to do the 5.7. The 6.4 is the base engine in the Ram HD trucks. There's nothing special about it. Jeep just gouges for that package on the Wrangler because...
Yeah, I mean we see it all the time on the forums. "Hey guys, I'm new here. Just traded my Raptor in on this Gladiator...."
By staggering I mean extremely common.
I used to log all my fill ups in a spreadsheet with date, price, fuel retailer, and any special notes (this tank I was towing a lot, or this tank I had more city driving, etc.). I did this for years.
What I noticed is that there WAS a difference in MPG between retailers. In my area, Kroger...
Over the last two years, the amount of guys cross shopping the Gladiator and Raptor has been staggering. Now that TRX is in the game, the idea of cannibalizing sales is a real threat.
I personally think the EcoDiesel is the perfect powerplant for the Gladiator. Gobs of torque and where you...
Well since you asked...
Nitto Ridge Grapplers (often referred to as Shitto Ridge Crapplers) are the most over rated tires on the market currently. They're just bad from start to finish. Poor traction, hard to balance, expensive, etc. There are LOTS of complaints about them in foul weather...
I never have used, and wouldn't use, Oracle aftermarket housings. Or any other aftermarket housing for that matter.
I had stock halogen housings with Supernova V.4 bulbs in my last JT. This time I ordered the factory LED package. The stock halogen housings with V.4 bulbs are brighter and...
Like I said, what's the big deal?
Android Auto is like 1982 Atari. Do people really buy a $1,200 smart phone and then convert it to 1982 tech in the vehicle on purpose?
7.2 seconds 0-60 in the highest horsepower Maverick you can get. And that was near Nashville, so low elevation. That's slower than my Wrangler Unlimited V6 went on 35" mud tires (6.92 seconds) and it's about .25 seconds faster than my Gladiator V6 went on 35" mud tires. So, it puts the...
Right, but you CAN go off road or haul huge loads or tow whatever you want with a Gladiator. You don't even have the option with the Maverick. That's the difference. And you don't even have to recreationally off-road your truck to have the advantages of a regular midsize. Have you seen the...
I see where the EcoDiesel Owners Canada tunes that a lot of guys run are now available to be purchased on a pre-tuned ECU. Which means you buy the tune from them and they send it to you already on a separate ECU. You then have your factory stock ECU to keep for dealer visits, and you don't...
