Bingo… got a 2023 cluster from a Sport S with tech pkg. works fine in my 22. Now i will have to sell the 22 wrangler Rubicon cluster with 11,000 miles on it . glad thats over
Something to think about while pondering what to do.... The RJ high steer does for steering what the Control arm Geometry brackets does for suspension. Having both is a win win on the road not to mention all the other benefits of the high steer off road .
Yup I have seen some sad looking shocks living at the shore and it had no effect on how they worked. Just like some of the jeeps I have seen around here
If anyone is interested I have an LOD signature plate and all the parts needed to install behind a plastic bumper IF you are near south jersey. New never used. Not shipping
I am at 3" lift also . If you want to make a world of a difference this is what I did . I wanted to upgrade the steering linkage but went one step farther . I did Currie's RockJock High steer kit. It raises the axle end of the track bar and both ends of the tie rod by way of new iron knuckles ...
Another alternative is Currie's Rock Jock High Steer kit . It only requires 2.5" of lift and has iron knuckles. The kit raises track bar and drag link like 2.5" without a DL flip and a bump stop only a hair over 2" . May not be much help with high lift amounts but changed my JT with only 3" lift
Something is worn and the Damper only hides it until the worn parts are beyond what a damper can hide . Get some help and do the dry steering test to find exactly what parts are worn . I usually find the drag link at the knuckle mounted end or Track bar to be the first items to upgrade. Feel...
Installed Currie Rock Jock High Steer kit. I am sore as hell being almost 71 but it was worth it . Next to no steering correction required on roads that will rock ya left and right and did take a bigger steering wheel input before. It was never bad but I knew it could be better . Did exactly...
Savvy used to put the flats on their Aluminum arms then stopped. If I remember correctly their was an issue with people using them in a way it was ruining the threads in the aluminum. I always use Synthetic disc brake lube on the threads before installing so once the jam nuts are loose you can...
Rusty , I tighten up my Savvy dbl adjustable aluminum TJ's arms and now my Cores similar to your way . I snug one end then the other increasing the torque each time until I can hang on to my 18" adjustable like a gorilla. Then I know they are not coming loose. Then I have to remember which end...
Splenda , Stick a big screw driver between the Johnny joint and the bracket to keep it from rotating when you tighten them to keep them parallel or cock them both as far as they can go when tightening if you have JJ's on both ends
I always go by knowledgeable forum members rather than reviews or advertisements. The trick is figuring out who actually is knowledgeable and those who want ya to think they are, every forum has them. Every Jeep I buy usually requires finding a new forum with high traffic then figure out who to...
I have ran plenty of others and always went back to BFG . Incidentally I never said they were the best I only said I never had an issue and I liked them . Been doing this for 50 years so call it what you like. Aren't most posts opinions AND personal experience. I refuse to post based on hear...
Been running BFG AT's on my DD since they came out in the 70s . I have never had one issue with any . Last set of 37" KO2s took a lot of weight on New Warn wheels . exchanged the wheels for the MOPAR slotted Off-road wheels and went from about 18oz of weight to 6oz at the highest . Both were...
It may not be necessary but I have had to replace plenty of cast iron boxes in Jeeps and replace with PSC boxes so its not just a flex issue that requires a better “ built “ box. I call it a preventive maintenance type of a mod. i made my own sector shaft brace for early Saginaw boxes in early...
I have the Synergy with the sealed bearing for about 6 months(1500 miles). I did it as a preventative measure . Bearing is making a creaking noise for a week or so. I soaked the top of the bearing with penetrating oil to stop the noise followed with a good soaking of Mobil 1 today so maybe it...
