From past experience I prefer the RJ anti-rock over completely disconnected off road. Much better feel than disconnected . The tire hanging in the air when flexed adds down force to the tire planted on the ground hence giving it more traction than just disconnected in the same situation
10 year old thread and much different vehicle . For mainly on road ride long arms do effect the ride . I had a 99 with clayton long arms and an 05 with Savvy short arms at the same time . Its similar to how geo brackets have such a good effect on the road. Off road they have the same complaints...
It DON"T even require Geo brackets to align it BUT it drives better when you do and even better when you add the rear track bar bracket and then again even better when you correct the drag link and front track bar . You don't have to have any of them to align it , but it sure drives great when...
Wait till you find you can do the same with your drag link and track bar with the Rock Jock high steer kit Then you have all of the geometry corrected instead of only part of it . It only requires 2.5" lift .
I replaced my Eibach 2-4 “ lift shocks because I was tired of the expansion joints in the road being so harsh feeling. I replaced them with the fox 2.5 IFP (JKS) . They are a bit short in length but have not been an issue as of yet. Smoothed out the ride considerably
EDIT : I have since...
Removed the bearing and pitman nut from my Synergy sectorshaft/track bar brace. Not enough room for the track bar when running Rock Jock High steer. Thought it looked close. A good size dip in the road confirmed that today.
Funny how much more fun a 70's Renegade with a piss ant 304 was to drive than a boring stock 3.6 in a Gladiator though . If I had a choice I take the 360 Magnum over any just because of the torque available with out revving the shit out of it . Mine were in a 1500 Rams RCSB with the offroad pkg...
I’d take V8 torque any day over a V6 that has a torque curve like an old 2 stroke 60’s dirt bike. I personally don’t care if its the old POS 304 like in the 70’s makes no difference to me.
I understand how it works as I did it on my JK . It would seem kind of pointless for OP to lift 2-2.5" and add 3" of bump stop in my eyes . Curries system is designed for 2.5" of lift and no more bumpstop than is usually required for a couple inches of lift t of lift. You can also clearance the...
Seems odd that we have all this concern about control arm angle and how geo brackets help that and caster But.... no mention about track bar and drag link angle increase once 2.5" or above lift . That will effect steering especially on the road . I corrected it and it helps drivability as much...
