  3. Question: Best Mods for Kids?

lol…. Scott L… My name is actually Ryan, and I wasn’t asking how to modify kids, but rather what things folks have done to make the Jeep better… the strap was brilliant from above, and I’ll be copying that. As a new dad, I’m learning, and you are trolling….
  4. Question: Best Mods for Kids?

If you roll with your crazy creatures in your jeep, what are your favorite mods that improve your / or your kiddos lives? I’m considering some sort of dry storage solution for stroller / etc, but am curious how everyone is handling life with the JT and kiddos. thanks in advance!

Oh, the install was 21min, after I assembled everything inside (it was 19 degrees out). 42 min total (from unboxing).

Hey there, I purchased an S&B intake for my ecodiesel and wanted to share my thoughts about it. Install: -Super easy!!! -No issues with Fitment Look: -Obviously subjective -I like the way it looks Sound: -I can now hear that turbo whistle! -Sound levels are not all that much higher. -During...
  7. New Gladiator Diesel Owner: Engine Start shake and "Drivetrain" noises

How much 'shake' are you talking about. When mine is cold, it's pretty clearly a diesel when you start it, I wouldn't call it a 'shake' but a cold engine.
  8. Towing Set Up Questions

I’ve done several big trips to Moab, through the San Juan’s, Eisenhower tunnel, Idaho, Montana, etc. Zero issues for me so far (besides recalls) keep speeds modest, keep your foot light, it will have no issues. stability improvement through equalizer hitch is a must in my book. rear coils...
  9. 28 mpg and pricing info on 800 mile trip home from picking up new diesel Rubi Gladiator.

Love the diesel! on 35” tires E rate, lift, etc. Living at 6300ft and lots of hills around here I average 22/23 combined.
  10. Towing Set Up Questions

With my setup, I don’t disconnect anything off road. Equalizer hitch stays connected. I go places I really shouldn’t with my setup.…
  11. Towing Set Up Questions

I have 19500 miles clocked while towing my RPOD 189 (weighing in at 3400 loaded) my 2 cents. 1. Don’t Regear 2. An equalizer hitch is worth every penny 3. Avoid a heavy foot, for me speeds of 63-67 are ideal. 4. When climbing mountains on 80+ degree days, slow your roll and take your time. I...
  12. Interesting video on the Eco, 300 WHP?

I’m not positive I agree on the thermostat details. While moving to a 190 seems like a no brainer those higher oil temps burn off moisture and fuel from the engine oil. plus the 190 and stock thermostat flow the same amount of water at max opening… This may lower temps for around town, low...
  13. 3.0 HPFP -- Recall Addendum Review -- Key points pulled from the addendum

It's a 'new' pump that looks identical to the old one, it does have slightly different markings FYI. I'll take pictures of all the paperwork and upload it... The big takeaway; Fuel filter every oil change, stop driving immediately if water in fuel light is on, don't run bio-diesel - but if you...
  14. Core 4x4 LCA problem. Need bushing part number UPDATED

I am wondering if the part number on the RAM 1500 will be the same. I'm not sure on that but might be worth researching.
  15. What should I know about the 3.0

fyi it would have to be really crappy luck. If you are in the states it will be fixed under safety recall.
  16. Farewell Jeep and CJDR

Once he gets a feeling of the other midsize truck options on the market… you’ll be back…. lol
  17. What should I know about the 3.0

I’m betting the gladiator diesel will be the last high torque workhorse jeep ever produced that runs on a liquid based fuel Honesty, if it’s what you are looking for, go for it.
  18. What should I know about the 3.0

How many miles on engine #1 when it failed?
  19. Long Gun Storage

lol how did I not know this…..
  20. What should I know about the 3.0

Few notes for ya. People view the high running temps as an issue with a modern diesel. The higher temps do a bunch of things, primarily boiling out any moisture, and reducing fuel content due to nature of blow by in a high compression engine (in the engine oil). Secondly they reduce soot load...
