  1. Rocker and lifter replacement.

I’d put it all back together and drive it to the dealer….. have them put you in a loaner, and let them take the several weeks it will take and repair it.
  2. Not impressed with Gladiator performance in snow

Today I learned… I always felt like the Gladiator was a bit better balanced than my older Taco. I actually prefer lighter weight in the tail, it’s easier / more fun to correct oversteer. 50/50 split vehicles are pretty uncommon, but they are awesome to drive.
  3. Not impressed with Gladiator performance in snow

lol… On that drive I passed 2 ditched 4 runners, one ditched JL and a ditched f350. Snow tires always take the win in snow… Also lol with less weight you will stop faster. If it was deep obviously I’d want my jeep, but on snowy roads vehicles with actual snow tires win. Always.
  4. Gas vs diesel suspension

The tube is longer on the diesel, you will have less up travel. I believe it’s about 1 1/4 inches longer. Same on the 392 JL I’ve heard. diesel springs will have different rates as well. I run shorter bumps, and a small spacer on my Mopar lift with 35” tires.
  5. Not impressed with Gladiator performance in snow

I’m telling you guys… My 2250lb 2wd Miata with 3” of ground clearance is better than my JTRD on snowy / icy roads. its all in the tires. Everything else only kinda matters. You will not understand this until you have had an actual winter tire. OP, find a set of takeoff wheels and put snow...
  6. Not impressed with Gladiator performance in snow

The reality with snow performance is simply tires…. 4wd obviously helps, but my lowered ND Miata on blizacks had no problem navigating up a steep grade 6” snow with ice underneath a few weeks ago where I passed 2 ditched 4x4s get snow tires for snow
  7. Doing my HPFP recall today

Couple of interesting tidbits from the documentation they give ya.
  8. 3.0 HPFP -- Recall Addendum Review -- Key points pulled from the addendum

Doing the math on ownership cost increase. (8,000 mile oil changes) Fuel Filters for 100k miles.... $430 - $500 for 100,000 miles of service (if you change the filter yourself) For folks that take it to a dealership to change the filter. $1200 - $1600 for 100,000 miles of service
  9. 3.0 HPFP -- Recall Addendum Review -- Key points pulled from the addendum

I do question if there is any liability on the manufacturer for these additional costs. OEM fuel filters are not cheap!
  10. 3.0 HPFP -- Recall Addendum Review -- Key points pulled from the addendum

Post Recall you will receive an addendum to your existing manual. I figured I would share some key points within the addendum 1. At Every Oil Change Interval As Indicated By Oil Change Indicator System. - Replace fuel filter and drain water from the fuel filter assembly 2. In states that...
  11. Doing my HPFP recall today

Hell yes! My recall is complete! The tech was super nice and showed me all the parts, and I got to see them finishing up the install of the pump, lines, etc. Feels so good to be back in my truck! Next week our kiddo arrives as well!!! As far as the way it runs = exactly the same as it did...
  12. Doing my HPFP recall today

There is no PCM updates required for the Z96 (HPFP replacement) recall. The pump lines, seals, and pump are replaced with the addition of a few stickers. Mine has been on the dealer lot for almost 40 days now. Hoping for progress!
  13. Doing my HPFP recall today

Just over a month for me on the dealer lot. I did get a loaner though yesterday! Which I’m super thankful for…. Jeep wave told me each dealership is getting 1 per (parts / lines / prints) month…. I’m still expecting 3-7 months on the lot for repair. I will say the Mojave they lent me is very...
  14. Cybertruck 4x4

I saw one a few days ago…. Never thought I’d see a Samsung refrigerator on wheels be called a truck…. If you really want an electric truck. Get a rivian….
  15. Doing my HPFP recall today

27 days on the dealer lot for me… no parts available yet, jeep wave won’t issue enough to cover a rental of like vehicle. I’ve been working with the GM and may have a loaner coming next week. Really hopeful because my wife is due in the next several weeks.
  16. CP4 Fuel Pump EcoDiesel Recall

I really hope just anything… I have my first child coming here in 1 month from now. I’m fortunate enough my wife has a Subaru…. IMO the most ugly vehicle ever produced… but at least it’s reliability is insanely good… my other car to get to work right now is a little Mazda Miata track car…...
  17. CP4 Fuel Pump EcoDiesel Recall

Update on mine. Stopped by the dealership, they told me this is likely in the 2+ Month timeframe for repair.... I am still without a rental. Fighting this everyday, but I'm honestly not sure what my next move will be. Really hope jeep can prioritize part delivery for people without vehicles.
  18. CP4.2 upgraded injector pump (pinned lifter bores RCD performance)

I thought this was correct, but you will need new lines, and I think some seals. The lines can’t be reused. Mine is still in the shop. No ETA on lines.
  19. Doing my HPFP recall today

No it’s a CP4 and it looks identical in nearly every respect. Maybe they changed the metal type, cam profile or something….. Either way, I’m not convinced there has ever been a rock solid cp4…
