I have read (and if I am incorrect please correct me) that it is a TorqueFlite design / clone but not built by ZF. Thus a ZF clone is what I have read.
That 3.0 you just purchased is a SOLID motor. There have been a few very frustrating points since it's launch... Including 2 recalls (make sure you them them addressed) (DEF Software Update + CP4 Fuel pump replacement.) The pump replacement is new, and will take some time to get sorted.
I drove...
1. Frequent short trips where oil doesnāt get hot enough to burn off fuel/moisture are bad if done a lot.
2. Oil and Fuel filter are required every oil change post the cp4 recall.
3. Avoid Fuel over B5 (it will shorten oil/fuel filter life)
4. Remember to fill the DEF tank before towing/long...
I wouldnāt worry about the transmission with 35ā tires, throw that comment to the side.
I tow a ton on 35ā E tires with my ecodiesel.
The Trans is a real ZF, not a Chrysler copy.
The ecodiesel is a fantastic engine, donāt let all the negative comments steer ya.
it will have modern diesel...
Jeeps are so easy to work on. Get a set of wrenches, sockets, and a decent torque wrench.
the money you spent on labor could turn into a ton of other upgrades.
plus itās quite fun and rewarding to drive what you built.
Question, why did you need to hook anything directly to the battery. The aux switch pack includes wiring points inside the vehicle and under the hood?
just curious as I do have a few lights that Iāll be adding soon.
To me itās āplausibleā that those lights etc wired directly to the battery...
That sucks!!!!! These ecodiesels really suck airā¦
Iām betting weak filter frame, wet filter, wet edges to the filter, created the āperfect stormā
I just ordered an s&b intake with (dry filter) and a pre filter. Because Mopar filters are expensive and hard to source at times.
if I was keeping...
It will void your warranty on the steering stabilizer itself and any 'steering issues' that could be associated with the new part.
Things like balljoints, etc 'should' and 'would' still be covered.
But the reality is, your steering system is prob going to be rock solid through your basic...
Reach out to Jeep Cares. Iām nearly positive they will cover a big portion of the rental.
I was without rental and my Jeep for 4 weeks until I really started pressing hard on Jeep Cares and the dealer.
3 days isnāt so bad fyi.
I ended up having to borrow cars, Uber, work remote, and a ton of...
3 day wait is not abnormal.
many folks on the forum have had waits in the weeks or months.
if you still have Jeep wave there is a rental agreement (payback) you could look into.
Mine was just out of service for 7 weeks.
I'll be honest.
After having the Mojove for a month, and getting back into the diesel I'll say a few things.
For all city driving, the Mojove was so much more pleasant to deal with, its way lighter, handles better, has significantly better throttle response vs my rubicon diesel. It was better...
Same exact thoughts. The buzzing is coming from the fuel solenoid on top of the cp4. I donāt think it is anything to do with turbo cooling. Mine made noise when shutting it off before, but itās more pronounced.
I do think itās frustrating that they upped the required fuel filter changes to...
