10" is a lot.... Forest River (for many of their campers) makes a 3" lift block. Which would bring you up higher on the trailer to reduce the need for the drop hitch. Might want to consider bringing the trailer up just a bit. I did mine it was 90 bucks.
Yeah after talking to some folks the DEF use being high is a direct result of the lower MPG. It's normal. FYI this is post DEF software recall.
The jeep trail in Sedona, AZ was an easy one, but it was really fun being out in the desert.
I would bet it's your cable.
Iphone cables actually wear out... I have had 3 O.E. apple cables wear out.
Look at the cable for this.
Then go google black pin line iphone cable.

Overall I would say the 3.0 did...
weird! Take a screenshot with your phone for me and I’ll look at it when I get back to camp tonight…
It’s possible I could have shared the wrong json file…..
It has 1 queen bed plus a kitchen table that folds down into a full size bed. It weighs 2800 lb dry. Fully loaded on a scale it is about 3450.
The diesel tows it great!
I do need to be careful with extended grades on hot days... Long story short I have to slow down a bit to avoid high temps...
If it was a fuel pump, it’s getting insane that Jeep / Bosch isn’t taking this more seriously, somebody is going to get killed…
I’m leaving on a desert Boondocking trip on Friday… I’m planning on running 2-3oz of HotShots while towing…
Yeah I’m betting this was a Fuel Pump failure.
They don’t really come apart, they shred themselves and eventually cause an immediate failure like you described.
Questions,
Do you use a diesel fuel additive? If so how much are you using, and which one?
If it was the fuel pump, the repair is a...
That Sucks!
Curious about any symptoms leading up to it?
Were you towing?
What was your oil change schedule like?
Any modifications? Lift / Tires / etc?
Getting a bit more insight into what happened would be nice!
The tacos are great! I drove tacos for 20+ years before getting a gladiator.
The only reason I made the jump was it was the first mid sized truck with a diesel with over 460 ft lbs of torque…
I loved my tacomas ( I’ve had 4 )
But the jeeps are unique and special… it’s certainly grown on me...
I’m pretty sure I consume as much coffee as my 3.0L consumes diesel.
I’m a coffee addict. It’s bad….
The AeroPress is the solution you need.
No KCup/Nespresso pod is going to solve your issue.
Once you get one for camping, you will soon see your KCup at home getting far less use.
This is...
Trailer tires have hard lives, it's smart of you to think about it.
I replaced mine due to uneven wear last summer they were 2017 tires.
(my trailer had a bent axle)...
But I would say if they are being cared for, pressure is good, they don't have rot, I would prob push to 8 years life then...
If I do just city driving (stop and go, shitty times), on winter fuel, it's 17mpg.
Highway Only is about 22-23 35" // tires 2" lift
Winter Fuel isn't the best... The formulation although reduces gellin, it does impact MPG.
People that get 27+ are on itty bitty tires and drive like grandma...
Yeah... I think we all agree it shouldn't be a consumer issue.... I purchase diesel from kum&go as it's pretreated. I also treat with EDT and sometimes LX4 on top of that.
I tow quite extensively in the summer months, and over long distances... Getting stranded while towing a trailer is not...
