  1. Key Fob want stay closed

I use one of these. It contains the key and keeps it out of my pocket. https://gibsonleatherworks.com/jeep-jl%2Fjt-key-fob-case The loop on the key fob is exposed through the bottom of the holster. Keep a little luggage padlock in your console. When you have to valet park or go to the Service...
  2. Manuals might be dead

I don’t really mean to sound judgmental, but... buying a manual because you WANT to shift your own gears and then complaining because you have to shift on a hilly road is a bit contradicting, don’t you think? The 8 speed certainly shifts a lot in the hills, it just does it on its own, without...
  3. Naked gladiator adventure in GA

correction- We get nekkid all the time in Georgia!
  4. Manual transmission ratings

Back ā€œin the dayā€ we would pull 4 cylinder F- head motors with 72 HP and 115 FP torque and replace them with Chevy V8s. The T90 3 speeds held up fine. I don’t think another 20 will even make a blip on the radar of the new trannys. Just my 2 cents.
  5. So many used Gladiators on the market.

    V6, 6 speed manual and 12 D boots. ā€ā™‚ļø
  6. So many used Gladiators on the market.

ā€œFor me the only disappointment is the gas mileage. I did not expect to watch a gas needle actually drop when I go to the storeā€œ What the Heck? I average 20+ to and from work on 2 and 4 lane highways.
  7. Heated seats with a manual?

Me four! Sport S with 6 speed and cold weather group. Sure wish it had the remote start, too. Seems that could have been combined with a neutral safety switch. Oh well. The seats and wheel sure felt good this AM!
  8. School a Toyota guy on reliability

The Jeep has excellent engineering and is very reliable IF you do your part. Pay attention to maintenance schedules. Listen, look and feel for little issues before they become big problems. Avoid unnecessary mods. And, if you do mod please consider the effect these mods have on other parts. In...
  9. Just remember a few things about the JT

Ha! I know the feeling. I’ve addicted since the 1955 M38-A1 Willys that I drove in high school back in the ā€˜70s. I was in recovery for a short while, but relapsed on the Glad!
  10. Granite Crystal or Stingray Gray ? UPDATE VOTES ARE!! AND ORDERED

I’m completely happy with my Stingray Gray. I considered the silver and granite but just really didn’t want the metallic look.
  11. Manual transmission delivery delay

My ā€˜14 Silverado was a great truck, too. Fit my lifestyle well. As the 2ed auto trans I’d had in 41 years of driving, I knew when I drove it off the lot that I was making a mistake. I would even ā€œfake itā€ driving around pausing at 12 mph, shifting an imaginary stick, pausing again at 30...
  12. Does anyone not regret ordering a hard top when they bought their Jeep?

Seems like a great time to brag on my Sunrider for Hardtop again. We had just a few minutes of sun here is Atlanta a couple of days ago. The ability to just throw the top back in seconds had me soaking in the rays and bingeing on the good feelings that come with it. I honestly would not have...
  13. JT owners post your MPG

Sport S. Completely stock engine, tires and 6 speed trans
  14. Is this residue normal?

Little spot on mine. Same place. WD-40 on a paper towel took it right off
  15. Jeeps Parking Next To Jeeps

Nice to see the M151A2 ā€œMuttā€ photos. I had a nice uncut one back in the ā€˜80s. I sold it because parts were so awfully hard to come by. Then the military retired it in favor of the Humvee and parts were a dime a pound at military auctions. Miss that one. Rode great and really performed well in...
  16. What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, NO GUN TALK]

I told it I loved it. I polished its hood with the sleeve of my shirt, I bought it some gas, then I wheeled it like it was rented.
  17. I need Gladiator recommendations from owners in rainy climates

Hardtop with the addition of the Sunrider for Hardtop on mine. Georgia. Lots of rain. I’ve never had any leakage at all. BUT...when I open the door after a rain there will usually be 4 or 5 drops trapped somewhere that drop onto the sill. If the wind is right maybe the edge of the seat. I’m very...
  18. Any reason to avoid Manual Transmission?

Had to tell you guys (and gals!). Took a 16yr old neighbor kid to Run an errand. About half way there his curiosity got the best of him and he asked ā€œwhat do you keep adjusting down there?ā€ He had never seen or heard of a manual transmission before. Geez........
  19. Why a Gladiator (JT) and not a Wrangler (JL)?

Man....... there’s a lot of angry sounding posts here! Come on, the JLU works out better for some, the JT for others. Simple as that. One is almost always going to be better than the other for a given task. Geez.....
  20. Jeeps Parking Next To Jeeps

Must be some kind of magnetic pull. I parked here this morning and didn’t even notice until I got out of the truck.
