There has been talk over on the Ram 1500 diesel forum (lots more ecodiesel owners in the 1500 pickups). I think some pumps are going out to the Ram dealers for the pickups (same ecodiesel engine).
I ordered a diesel gladiator and wanted to learn more about this engine, there are a lot more 1500...
I totally believe you. I've never paid much attention to how often I've discharged my boat trolling motor battery.
Between me and my buddy we've ran it down to almost completely dead many times (certainly less than 200 I'd guess, thats a lot of fishing trips) and its always taken a charge. I do...
Well, I've seen your post for the last several days without a response. I think it would depend if your heater was higher than or lower than your diesel level. If lower you could just put a hose into your fill spout and start a siphon to see if it works.
Good luck.
Any switch to activate a relay should work.
You will need a switch and a relay for each locker.
Search Amazon for jeep switch panel and pick any you like.
If its only a few times a year, just get a deep cycle (I.e. boat battery) 100 Amp/hr from the nearest Walmart or NAPA and call it a day. Way cheaper than those fancy lith/ion batteries and you can also use it in your other car, truck, tractor, boat trolling motor, ect as needed. Heck, keep it...
Here is how I understand it.
A 100 amp/hr deep cycle battery will run a 4 Amp load a max of 25 hours.
Remember, your cooler will not likely run 100% of the time.
Deep cycle batteries can be drained all the way buy I try and use no more than 80% of their capacity (they say they last longer that...
I'm a cash guy, got that habit from my dad I guess, I have a few cc cards but don't use them much (online bill paying, and anything over a few hundred dollars).
Cash for everyday purchases.
Anyway, Im retired now and almost all my pants have cargo pockets and that's where I carry my billfold...
I just ordered a rubi diesel so have been trying to learn what I can about this engine and issues.
I don't know a lot about these post 2006 diesel control systems, but Im thinking what Ide be very interested in is a LIMP MODE hack.
If the ERG throws a code, or the DEF pump has a problem it won't...
One idea if you have a trip a long way from home is to have the jeep towed to the nearest dealer, you will have to wait for the repair anyway so where it happens isn't a total loss.
Then rent a U-hall (or pickup) to pull your trailer home. Then fly to pick up the jeep once repaired.
Certainly a...
I like the line-x look, I just don't know how it would hold up after 6-10 years, or effect resale.
I had a co-worker buy a JK that was line-x'ed for over 50k (lift, big tires, wheels, bumper, ect), kept it about 2 years then sold it. It was one of those jeeps that someone put too many mods on...
Question, it may be the angle of the photo, but it looks like your rear axle is not centered in the wheel well. If so, is that due to being a 4 in lift?
Just wondering, why did you go 4 in, are you planning larger tires?
Someone on this forum posted this somewhere (I forget where exactly, but I saved the link).
This looks to be modified to replace the CP4. Seems like the way to go if out of warrantee or you just want to pay for it yourself.
Heck, maybe Jeep is buying these for the anticipated fix, I have no...
I hope to have a diesel rubi by the end of the year.
My question to all you diesel gladiator owners is about idling.
If I go to sonic and its 100+ degrees out, is it ok to idle the diesel while running the a/c to stay comfortable?
And then the same question bit longer idle time?
In my current...
