Funny enough one of my 35 pats failed the day after writing this and I’m now on 37s. So to follow up, I’m now on 37” KO2s which are on the smaller side of 37s and it’s right on the line of what I’d consider acceptable highway performance. 3.6L, 8 speed automatic, 3.73 gears with the Speedo...
Thanks, that’s what I would have thought too, but I run these 35-40 psi. I run about 15psi on the trails and maybe should just chock this up to trail damage. Either way I’m looking into new tires now.
Is this normal? Or dangerous? The tires have about 8,000 miles and a fair bit of wheeling. This is the worst of them, but there are several lugs and other features completely missing or severely damaged. The discount tire guys are earning every bit of that $20 lifetime maintenance keeping these...
Sounds like there are some concerns over getting parts, but—after everyone who actually need it gets one—is this something everyone with the silver steering box should do? My steering isn’t terrible (I don’t think), but Maybe it could be better?..

I wonder if this would fit the gladiator rear d44?
Where do you live? Like mostly flat highway driving or hills, mountains etc? Also do you plan on towing much?
I’m on 35s and 3.73 and it’s perfectly adequate for city/ flat highway driving, But as soon as I get up into the hills I can feel her struggling and jumping around gears. I’ll end up...
I paid $1,150 for my JT Mopar lift shipped on amazon (it did have a damaged crate, but I’m not sure if that effect the price). It installed easily in the driveway and I got a lifetime alignment plan for the truck from firestone for $99. I’d recommend this for anyone who likes wrenching on their...
I knew I couldn’t be the only one working on this! Mine is slightly different just because I don’t have access to a shop I was planning to water jet and bend flat plates for the uprights. I love the idea, let’s make it happen!
Hi again Lee! Just brainstorming:
- I’d love an open pass through from the cab into the soft bed topper you guys are working on. Like one continuous enclosed space.
- I like the premium fabric on the higher end oem tops, but if there’s a way to insulate the tops even more I’d pay for it.
- a...
Completely agree, but I don’t see a way to do this and retain solid axles/ really any part of the current platform. Dual motor could be possible split between the front and rear, but hub motors are too much unsprung weight to be practical and anything else would likely require a ground up...
I went the prp route, but should have recovered like your friend. The prp seats are nice and high quality, but with how long it takes to get them on and off and how expensive they are I don’t see much utility. I’ll be trying to sell these covers soon and eventually have katskinz or other redo...
The 4xe feels a bit sloppy to me. It’s an electric drive train on top of an etorque 2.0 with a golf cart charger. I’m still excited to see it, but I’m definitely going to pass on this generation of eJeeps. I’d definitely consider a better integrated system when it comes available.
