  1. Well I’m out

I feel you on the Scat Pack. I traded a Daytona 392. Loving the Gladiator, but there is nothing like the sound and fury of that 392!
  2. Gladiator as “Only” Vehicle?

We've typically been a 3 car family. My wife always has her own and I've typically had a sports/muscle car and some kind of old truck/SUV for hauling, fishing, camping, dog stuff, etc. Decided to consolidate my two down to one and traded my 17 Daytona 392 and 04 F150 for the JT. I really only...
  3. Widest AT Tire for Stock Overland Wheels

Thanks for the input guys. So a 285 will fit on the stock overland wheels? Considering the stock is a 255 that seems like a big jump. I'm ok with the stock diameter and ground clearance, but I did think the stock tires just looked too narrow and of course the street A/S tread is a little...
  4. Door Straps rubbing against leg

    Agree, great tip!
  5. Widest AT Tire for Stock Overland Wheels

So, the Overland comes with the A/S street tires. I plan to wear them out before replacing, or at least come close. But thinking down the road, I'd like to go with an AT tire that's the same size as stock, except for the width. Does anyone know the widest size that will fit the stock wheel...
  6. Door Straps rubbing against leg

I've noticed this too. Have kinda gotten used to it, but still don't like it. Best I've been able to do is sort of push it back with my leg. Anyone tried the twist mentioned above?
  7. who is getting the bluetooth speaker?

UPDATE: After initially being told by the service dept that replacement speakers was back ordered for 5 months, I called my salesman to see if he could perhaps arrange a swap from another vehicle. Turns out they're VIN coded, so a new one has to be ordered from the manufacturer and processed...
  8. Automatic transmission with the manual option

Makes perfect sense to me. You're not really pulling "down" to go up, you're pulling the stick BACK to upshift. Just like in most manual transmissions where your first shift from 1-2nd is a backwards pull on the stick to shift up a gear. FCA is far from the only manufacturer that does it this...
  9. Neighbor bought a Sport S!

I'm in Cumming as well. If you see a Red Overland Hardtop, it's probably me. In the 3 weeks since I purchased mine, I've only seen two others, one white, and one silver. Is one of those yours OP?
  10. Automatic transmission with the manual option

I use the manual shift sometimes to take advantage of engine braking, or if I just want to control the shifting myself. Works great. "Backwards" or not is relative to what you're used to, but most cars with auto stick today use the same shift directions as the Jeep. For a while in the late...
  11. How do Gladiators handle on the highway?

I test drove a Sport S and an Overland back to back. The Sport S seemed to wander noticeably more than the Overland. There could be some minor differences in handling between the different trim levels due to the different Tire & wheel packages. I ended up purchasing the Overland and it's been...
  12. Where are they

I'm in the Atlanta Metro area and I've seen two around my area in the northern burbs; one white, one Silver. Even with all the dealers near me (Roswell, Alpharetta, Cumming); most of them only have 3-6 on the lots with very few of those being the more reasonably priced Sport or Sport S and the...
  13. What gas milage are you getting?

Wow that's interesting. It's primarily in the 40-50mph range that I notice it staying in grears below 8 for what seems like a long time. Accelerating normally to 60+Mph, mine seems to find 8th pretty quickly and stay there. I have 3.73 gears, not sure if that matters.
  14. Apparently Gladiator competition is coming.... Ford Bronco Pickup

I've been a Ford guy for years and have owned 4 Mustang GT's, an F150, Explorer, and a 96 Bronco which I loved. Was really looking forward to the release of the new Bronco and a Truck version would be great. I probably would've been interested in the Bronco and definitely would've been down...
  15. What gas milage are you getting?

Stock overland with a little over 700 miles. First full tank I used averaged right at 20 mpg. Probably 60% highway driving. Pretty pleased with that for a vehicle of this type. One thing I've noticed that seems to hurt fuel economy on surface streets is that the transmission seems to hold...
  16. who is getting the bluetooth speaker?

Sadly, I'm joining the ranks of those whose Bluetooth speaker did not work. The service department ordered a new one, which is apparently back-ordered for 5 months! Apparently a ton of buyers are having this issue. Not really a big deal in terms of my overall satisfaction with the truck. But...
  17. Took Delivery of Your JT? Sign in Here!

Haven't uploaded any pics yet, but I purchased my first Jeep with a firecracker red Gladiator Overland Hardtop last week and recently found this forum. Traded my 17 Charger Daytona, and an old, 04 F150 with 135K miles. This is the first time in 20 years that I haven't had at least one muscle...
