  1. Newbie Question - 4WD Auto / Part-Time

Wouldn't be the first time. Apparently some early Gladiators had an Wrangler main shift knob installed (with the Wrangler SUV silhouette vs the Gladiator pick-up).
  2. Newbie Question - 4WD Auto / Part-Time

I too thought something was wrong with my xfer case or shifter at first as it was really difficult to shift out of 2H for the first time. But it's very easy now, so they do break in. Never heard of a 4H Auto option on any Gladiator before now....
  3. Draft through Glove box

Thanks, are you thinking it may have fallen out of position, or is missing?
  4. Draft through Glove box

Finally getting some cooler weather here and I noticed there seems to be a draft coming into the cabin from the glove box, anyone else notice this? The heater can overcome it and it's only really noticeable for front passengers, but it seemed odd.
  5. What are the realistic expectations from a stock Sport?

In north Georgia, most are just gravel roads that are "relatively" well maintained going through mountain woods. In good weather, I'll even see a few nutters out there in street cars. The roads are easy enough that cars can make it (in good weather), but you're going to be slinging gravel...
  6. Waterproof Cab top

I want the same thing, haven't ordered one yet, but this is the closest I found: https://www.quadratec.com/p/mopar/sun-bonnet-jeep-gladiator-jt-82215620?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIhdKRkIfU5QIVSEPTCh2V-gtwEAQYASABEgIdn_D_BwE
  7. What are the realistic expectations from a stock Sport?

Indeed. I've taken my stock overland off-road about 5 times since purchasing in July and it's always done great. To be fair, most of the trails I've run have been dead easy, forest service roads, but I did do at least one fairly moderate trail where I was concerned about break over on one...
  8. What are the realistic expectations from a stock Sport?

I have a stock Overland. Your primary limitations are going to be the break over (due to the long wheelbase), and departure angles. While there is a ton of capability in your stock Sport (more than many will every use), and the limitations can be greatly mitigated by lift/tires; there are...
  9. Top less, Naked, Doorless how do like it?

I keep my tops in the bag, in the bed, all the time. I have the linex bed liner and haven't noticed the bag moving around at all. Don't even use any straps. Have even been off roading that way with no problem. I have black tops though and might be a bit more concerned if they were the body...
  10. Test Drive Experience

Good to see a positive review on a dealership experience for a change. I think now that these have been out a bit longer, the salespeople are more up to speed. When I went in July, my salesman hadn't even been "trained" on the gladiator yet. But I liked that he was upfront about that and...
  11. Top less, Naked, Doorless how do like it?

I'm in GA too and agree about the heat. Got mine this July and have already had the freedom tops out more since it's been cooler. Feels like the line might be around 60 degrees for me! Haven't actually gone completely naked yet. Wanted to at least get some kind of bikini top I could throw on...
  12. Jeep Gladiator Scrambler tribute by dealer

That's really cool. Always loved the look of the bed mounted roll bar with the KC lights on top. Would consider adding to mine if the roll bar and spar tire didn't eat up so much bed space.
  13. Own a JT and JL? Notice this power and throttle response difference?

The good news is; more than likely there's nothing wrong with your truck. The JT IS slower than a JLU because it's heavier. A google search on 0-60 times for the two will bear that out. All JT's are heavier than the JL's, but the difference will vary according to the trip levels of each. The...
  14. just broke 3200 mi, and all is well with the gladiator sport

Up to now, I've always had a new car and an old used truck, splitting miles between the two. Traded both on the Gladiator, so with one vehicle I expected the miles to add up fast and they have! Also, with it being new, I probably have at least 2K miles that were just for fun. Still, I know...
  15. just broke 3200 mi, and all is well with the gladiator sport

Congrats! How long have you had it? I just broke 5200 and took delivery July 10. More miles than I'm used to having on a vehicle this age.
  16. Dealer oil change

Just had my first oil change as part of Jeep wave. Don't trust them much at all, but on this vehicle it's easy enough to check behind them. Just make sure the dipstick shows clean oil, up to the correct level and that the drain plug is tight (had that problem before). Totally get why a lot of...
  17. Joined the Gladiator cracked window club

This is one club I was hoping not to join, but I got my first damn crack over the weekend. Was at the end of a 300 mile drive, 30 miles away from my destination as well! It's down low on the driver's side, thankfully below the wiper path. Hasn't spread yet, but I'm guessing it will after the...
  18. What's the Appeal??

Yeah, it does start to get a little annoying; particularly if I happen to be in a hurry, but only a little...
  19. Wireless Bluetooh Speaker Issues

I had the same problem with my Bluetooth speaker. It wouldn't pair with any phone. Took it to the dealer and they couldn't get it to pair with anything either. They ordered a new one for me that works fine. More than a few of these speakers weren't working from the factory, but the dealer...
  20. Steering

I have an Overland and don't have any wandering to speak of. The steering is not sports car tight of course, but it holds a straight line with no problem. I run 38-39 psi cold
