Sorry, I already took it off, as I’m going to switch to the upper decker and some towers for loads.
I have the steel. Honestly, if you have a local machine shop, they could custom fab you something, and it wouldn’t be more expensive. It’s a pretty simple design
I have a mopar roll up and the kB voodoo bars and hate it. The voodoo bar brackets make the cover’s sides roll up. Also, if the crossmember was just an inch or two higher, you could easily roll up the cover, but you can even get 1 full roll under it. If the bars need to be left on, the cover...
Turned out I just had a defective ESS battery. Apparently there were a few bad batches early, but they never recalled them. Haven’t had any issues since they swapped it out early September.
Yeah the fuzzy math in finance can work wonders. A dealership that is heavily managed by a CFO will love to take orders. On their spreadsheet, an order doesn't accumulate much overhead cost. Conversely, the model that sat their for 2 months has a lot of cost built up, and they often refuse to...
You are correct that they can make a mess, but a side benefit to rock rails, side steps, etc. is that they tend to help minimize the splatter. There are also some mud flap options, like rokblokz that are easily removable for off roading.
The truth is that while often illegal, it is extremely...
Just to clarify, your vehicle was not pre-owned- correct? Even if it was own for a week or two, if that truck was activated, it wouldn't reset.
My dad has a JK, and my dealer got a little lazy and added the vehicle to Dad's Jeep Wave/Mopar/Uconnect/Sirius account when I bought mine. I...
i wouldn’t worry too much. If it came down to it, I don’t see how they could prove it isn’t a warranty issue, especially with the recall work so recently. It doesn’t matter so much what the customer rep says. The money isn’t coming out of the mechanic’s pocket, so theytend tobe pretty fact-based
I don’t know if you have or not, but I certainly wouldn’t tell them you have done any off-roading. Don’t lie, but don’t offer anything up. I think normal wear and tear on the vehicle would be 3 years/ 36x miles or whatever the warranty is.
Very hone-state dependent. Also, I’ll add that I have only even heard of someone actually getting ticketed a couple times for oversized tire issues, and in every instance, it was a really egregious violation (like half the tire hanging out of the wheel well AND the driver was being a real remoron.
Same here, bought in July, and it arrived yesterday. Earlier this week, I was getting all of my contact info with Mopar/Uconnect/Jeep fixed, as the dealer just entered gibberish in for those fields. Not sure if that prompted the letter or not.
I had one of the defective ESS batteries- that got swapped out a bout 2 months ago. I also had one of the early vehicles that was throwing codes for ESS for an unknown reason. I think it must’ve been a software issue, because they updated the latest software, and it went away.
I agree with you, but every time I hear the word blind spot, I'm brought back 20 years to high school. Hottest chick in the school got a convertable for her birthday. First day driving it to school, she backed in to the side of a parked school bus that was sitting a good 25' behind her.
I'll...
I took my truck in for its inaugral service and tire rotation. Up until that point, I was hovering around 17mpg on mostly highway, combined mileage. Ever since the service, I have struggled to hit 15mpg. Any quick and easy things to look for? I have to trouble lights at all, and performance...
They attach to both. They have slide on brackets that sandwich between your body bolts. That is the major load bearing connection. But they also bolt into the holes along the pinch seem. I am a pretty big guy, and they don't move around at all.
