Yeti is definitely the best. I can camp for a weekend on the beach in OBX and the cooler will have some ice left. The trick is to pre cool it the night before, then drain out the melted ice and fill as desired.
lots of online comparison videos though. RTIC definitely seems to be the clear 2nd...
Try rebel offroad. They carry rhino rack too, but their halo racks are great quality I run a roof rack with integrated lights. I’m certain the weak point is my roof, not the rack.
I actually wouldn’t hesitate with the rhino rack either. I think the weight restriction there is coming from the...
Ethanol doesn't degrade metal, but it is much more aggressive than standard gasoline on plastic and some rubbers. Specifically, it will breakdown and swell some specific kinds of viton, which is generally one of the most common and best materials for gaskets that are exposed to petroleum...
I'm not familiar with the trail, but it looks like they are proposing reroutes. Most of the time, that is due to frequent washouts or other damage. However, they publish the proposed list so that people can comment. I'm not sure who the proper commenting authority is with them, but I am sure...
The double is bigger, so less options for mounting. It’s more expensive too. The major pro is the amount of air it moves.
the single has a lot of mounting options, but is probably not going to be able to efficiently run air tools. It will also take a little longer to air up tires. Plenty good...
I had the issue with and without my carplay2air adaptor about a year ago, fairly frequently over the course of a month. I updated all my firmware- phone, adaptor, radio. Also cycled the power on my phone. Have not had the issue since.
I went to my local machine shop with my tent mounted. They hooked me up. I was patient and let them select the metallurgy (but asked for aluminum). I ended up getting some beefy brackets from some leftover plate. Cost me $50, including them helping me mount it at their shop. They loved the...
Weight savings between 9k, 10k, and 12k is pretty negligible. I strongly recommend the smittybilt xrc gen 3 series. Consistently out performs warn, moderate water resistance, style points.
I think the RSE are the only way to go. I have the original version, but they had since gone through gen 3 I believe. The new gen has a longer lasting articulation system, extends the rear part of the step, and better follows the body line.
Don’t underestimate the advantage of their wiring...
Check out spiderwebshade. I leave mine on under the hardtop. Very sturdy stuff, breaks up the breeze just enough that my wife likes it too. Keeps the sun under control
Incidentally, Chrysler/Jeep/Ram is also leading the industry in voiding warranty for non-compliance with recommended service schedules. There have been a few articles on it in the last month…
I’ve had one for almost two years. I’d say 5% of the time, it fails to initiate on the dash upon startup. I use the console usb, so it is probably that connection. Regardless, on those rare occasions, I just unplug and plug and it works fine.
its Outlasted just about any charge chord I’ve ever...
Btw, I think it’s the best winch on the market right now. You’ll love it. Make sure you check the controller’s insulation on the chord. Mind detached from the controller and the plug, and I had to get smittybilt to send a new one three times before I got a good one.
Same setup. I went with the Mopar plate beacuase it’s really more of a box, and has extra mounting points to the frame and bumper.
It was very tight and I needed to do some grinding on the plate to make it work. When I say tight, I mean I’m lucky that I have a couple buddies with a body shop...
