I own both a JK and JT. First thing I noticed in the JT was that the seating position, with the seat all the way back, is definitely closer to the wheel/firewall than it is in the JK. It's noticeable to me after having driven the JK for 9 years. Fortunately I'm only 5'10" and my wife is 5'5", so...
And just to note. They were Megabass rods. A Orochi XX F7-72XX and a Destroyer F8.5-711X Warhammer. Like....$800 in rods. My freaking soul was crushed with those rods.

Ahh, see, you blame the product instead of the end user. I'm sure you blame guns for deaths instead of the person pulling the trigger. Blame the alcohol instead of the driver?
I work in healthcare. And personal responsibility seems to be lacking in todays society.
Pretty sure the factory auto-up windows in my Ram don't have any safety feature either. At least, my front passenger side window didn't stop as it crushed 2 fishing rods.
It's not only rings that wear in. Every moving part wears in. Every bearing surface. Get Blackstone tests done. The 5.7 Hemi in my Ram was still showing elevated levels of iron and copper at 27k miles due to wear in. At 35k miles those numbers finally started coming down to normal levels. My...
That packing is pretty bad. Not even double walled box, tubes directly against the cardboard without any more protection than that thin foam sheeting.
They should step up their packing game.
Your warranty can not be voided by not using an oil that is FCA certified MS-6395. Consumer protection act and all. If they required a specific item be used then they would be required to supply it.
And to quote the manual:
Engine Oil Selection 3.6L Engine For best performance and maximum...
It works ok. I found it doesn't hold up though. Switched to Turtle Wax Hybrid Ceramic Spray coating as a topper for the graphene coating I applied. The TW goes on and comes off easy, and seems to last considerably longer.
Dealers do their fair share of gear sets, mostly warranty work on 1/2 - 1 ton trucks. So, I wouldn't worry about the quality of work. But, you know, always the chance that Mr. Greenhorn gets the ticket and botches it up.
My suggestion would be to talk with the dealer service center, and...
Dealer ordered a new headunit. They also said that a software update was coming that may also address it, but at this time FCA is treating it as a hardware failure.
Also, they greased the seat hinge/detent and that seems to have resolved the seat bottom getting stuck up.
That's was our deciding factor. If the JLU could comfortably tow 5000+ we'd have bought one. And my wife refuses to drive anything that you can't take the doors and top off. So, JT it is!
Got my JT back from the dealer. They didn't replace the steering box, citing it already has the updated version, which it does. But, they did do an alignment and found the front toe was way out. They pulled the toe back in to spec.
The way it was driving the toe being out does make sense. Now...
