Going back to the original post, the only advantage I see here is saving the motion of putting the trans in 1st at the same time as depressing the clutch...
I see more muscle memory confusion here than anything, but I guess it'd work.
My big issue with ESS, and why I cancel it every single...
a few pics of my "other vehicle". 222,000 miles and still going strong, my ole Toyota does any SERIOUS wheeling I need to get done. The Gladiator ain't quite there yet, build wise, and will always be on the long side.
After getting in to drive home from work, I realized I grab the bar with my Right hand and the door with my left. Sorry to give such misleading advice on such an important topic!
Here's my 4th of July wreath.... I didn't stay on very long. Fun fact, it moved the air flow enough to give my soft top one HELL of a thumping shuddering roar at 65-75mph. Its possible that it only did that since it stuck up above the hood line, but I'm curious if any other festive folks have a...
I started paying more attention to this action when my FJ driver's seat started getting a lot of wear from sliding in and out of it....
I step my left foot on to the board (I have the oem nfab nerf bars), with my toe facing forward and my foot parallel to the truck, left hand on the grab handle...
If it lost air, then stopped after you added air, your valve stem is leaking.
Sometimes it'll get a little junk under the seat, and air can clear it out.
Anything else wouldn't go away, and no, you probably didn't break the bead by turning.
YYyyup.... Quality over fuel effeiciency... From the Revolution "break in procedure" page:
"Recommended gear oil is an 80W-90 or 85W-140, Non-Synthetic, GL5 grade or Higher, Name Brand Oil."
SOOOO, about that.
Its a new, small, family owned shop here in Little rock, and they offer a one-year warranty. He gave me the loose run-down on the break-in procedure, but didn't mention changing oil, so I asked if I needed to come back in at 500 for it. He said No, that isn't needed. I trust...
So here's my question, what is the difference in these sales codes? My vehicle info on the website doesn't list sales codes, and the distinction between these is not reflected in the previously snapped OM referenced. This is from the online owners manual (which i assume gets revised?)
Just got...

Ok yeah two different sounds going on here, I've experienced both.
The "Jangling keys under the hood" sound I only had in once instance, and was related to heavy lugging of my 6MT engine after going up in tire size. That one is covered in the "Rattling engine sound" thread linked earlier here...
It’s definitely one chonky rope. I like how small the strap rolls, so I’ll probably keep it full time and grab the boing rope for outings….
FWIW, I was raised recovering and towing (and logging) with logging chains, so almost anything is better than that, I promise.
I’ve had the smittybilt step for almost 10yrs now on my FJ, it was immediately moved over to the gladiator and is great. Sliding the strap loop through the middle hole and looping it over the side hook is so fast, I never even used my shackles.
Usually just for pulling people up snowy hills and...
"Engine start stop unavailable. Service Start/Stop System"
and... Intermittent non-functioning reverse sensor (6mt, no camera, no reverse lights).
Just about to hit 37,000, so would these two issues still be considered power train?
I know I should just ask the dealership, but if they're not...
With a 6MT??
You'll hate it. I went from 285s to 315s with 3.73 and dropped from 17mph to 14, could barely take off without smoking the clutch, the wife stalled it all the time, had zero torque and had to keep revs up to climb hills, completely lost 6th gear, and HAD to use 4lo to drive...
I am slightly nervous about that, but its a new, small, family owned gear & axle shop, and they seemed very knowledgeable and have a warranty. I'm hoping they stand behind their work.
I was surprised when he told me I DIDN'T need to come in @ 500 miles for a fluid change and inspection, though...
