The design of the stock clutch is the problem, not a manufacturing defect! Replacing the clutch with aftermarket certainly solved my overheating issues.

Clutches are a replacement item for manual transmissions. They do not effect warranty!

For the cost of repairing that bed, you may well be able to pick up a used one from a junkyard. They are starting to appear and generally are not very expensive.

Ditto. I put a layer of sound deadener on and then the cover king. When the top is on, it is almost as quiet as any truck. When I remove the top, this makes zero difference in the install and storage. Also, there is absolutely zero echo inside the vehicle with the Coverking Topliner.

I have had my centerforce as long as anyone. I have never had any issues with the clutch or tranny once installed. Not sure what the shop was trying to recommend, to me that sounds like the start of a very expensive upsell.
