The other option might relate to the variable valves and the lifters. If you get into it hard do you have valve clatter?
Just a thought as a lot of people with the flattened cam lobes have complained of detonation.
There are several threads in the forced injection section of the forum. I highly recommend you read them.
Tuning this vehicle with a Supercharger is not for the faint of heart. Additionally, the lifter issues continue and may be exacerbated by the supercharger.
We have a forum member that...
I have the centerforce II which is rated to 434 lb/ft of torque. I push those limits at points, but it holds it just fine.
Additionally, it is butter smooth with about the same clutch pedal resistance as a stock clutch. It truly is the clutch this Jeep should have had from the factory.
I do the drop in thing on my trucks. I have seen too many lined vehicles with huge dents in the bed. I have thrown log chunks 2 ft in diameter into the back of my trucks and never had a dent.
It was one he made custom for my truck when I first put the small pulley on. Ran smooth as butter. I tried 121, on my truck the surging at highway speed was intolerable and it just never felt stable pulling a hill. So I rolled back to the custom tune. I have tried 1 or 2 others, but they all...
Yep, that is why I have my Jeep. I wanted to get a new truck while manual transmissions were still available.
In 2021 you had 2 options for a new truck with a MT. The Toyota Tacoma and the Jeep Gladiator. Those were the only remaining options. They won't last much longer!
If it was an absolute dream, then why did you feel the need to add a supercharger? Those 2 statements don't go together!
I added mine because it was not a dream! If I hadn't added the supercharger, I would have sold the severely underpowered thing off. I live in high speed highway driving...
I have yet to find anyone that has successfully done this! If anyone has, please let me know, I have an 2 ECMs sitting in my garage from my adventures in supercharging! Both are perfectly good, but no one else can use them due the VIN locked issue!
I would guess, 65% of my cabin noise came from the top. When I insulated the top and added the Top Liner from Carpet King, I could suddenly hear my stereo without turning it all the way up at 80MPH.
The only noise I got from the bottom was tire noise.
I get the miss issues like everyone else and many of those are partly related to this issue.
So far no one has shelled a motor due to this. the parts are $300. I worry about what the long term damage is to having all that crap floating in your oil from it shredding the cams before it gets bad...
I have an early 2021. If it is still under warranty, they never tell you the true cause because it is an assembly error at the plant.
I suspect a lot of 21 models will start showing the issue soon
So there are a ton of owners both JL & JT that have had their lifter cams eaten up.
Everyone I have seen that has pulled things apart to where you can view the VVL cams over 20k miles has had damage because the right bank lifters come from the factory installed wrong.
My question for you guys...
Any update on the fuel starving thing? I am still running an older version of the tune that was super stable on my truck, but I will be honest the uneven fuel delivery is a bit unnerving.
My truck still delivers crazy torque at low RPM, so I am rarely above 3K RPM. I doubt I am pushing...
Bestop 77326-35 Soft Tops Supertops Truck Cap Top Black Diamond For Jeep. Been on truck for 2 months. Bought to protect luggage for a family trip. I don't need it now. Thought I might give someone a deal locally.
I will not ship! The box for this thing is huge!
Cost over $1000 new. $700.
UPDATE:
I am unsure of the brand, but I have now seen 2 vehicles with this flip style lid for the Freedom tops pulled over on the side of the road, while returning from the beach areas, and carrying a Freedom top in their hands walking back towards their jeep.
People get out at the slow speeds...
My understanding is they have to activate it against your VIN since this is still a Beta type of feature. There are also other parameters they activate for @DAVECS1 that allows him to get better tuning results.
That is why I included the link to the other thread where it was discovered and...
