Definitely a good point. I live on the coast and the salt air is hell on metals. I use a liberal amount of WD40 after each time I use my winch. Haven't seen any rust just yet.
It may have been said, but the Tazer Mini is a good one. Just getting the reverse lights to calm down so you can see the back up cam at night was worth it to me.
I use the crap out of mine and its been solid so far. I haven't winched a vehicle out. Mainly just move large to small trees and barrels of corn. But if you plan on moving real heavy loads the work cycle might be an issue. Haven't dug too far into the specs as it isn't really an issue for my use.
I build a decent amount of my own accessories...kinda just the way people do things where I'm from. I've gotten a few looks here and there. I guess my thoughts are...if it's truly an off roading "war wagon", do you really want that $900 accessory that you can't fix on the trail? But I can't hate...
I felt that 100%....a friend if mine told me we were going to "overland" and I'd never heard of it. My response "so we're camping?" ?...but in all fairness I'm all in on the overlanding style now. I totally get the appeal
I went with ICECO...mainly due to the price. I know you posted this a while ago, but I'm not disappointed at all. Here is some quick info. Hope it helps if you haven't pulled the trigger yet.
