  1. weight check in

I'm slightly overweight. 6480 lbs completely loaded down with with 4 passengers and all our gear for a week on the trail. I'm not over the axle ratings yet and I've swapped out springs and upgraded brakes already. Pretty sure that GVWR range isn't accurate for the rig anymore so I'll just say...
  2. Delete push button start, go back to keyed ignition? The rfid brick has to go...

Get the AJT key fob. Love it. Also screw keys. I had the proximity on my Tacoma and even did the Lexus credit card mod. ( Kept the key in my wallet) and loved it. Hated the truck so switched to an f150. The only thing I missed was the proximity key. Using an actual key is annoying and I hope I...
  3. Replacing or adding hood stickers and windshield banners.

I was asked to make a how-to on removing old stickers and installing new ones. Super easy to do, and I hope this helps some of you who are apprehensive about pealing off the factory stickers.
  4. Power for a ham radio.

Yep. Radiooddity QB25 it's actually tiny.
  5. Patches & headliner's

    Stick great
  6. What winch?

Rebranded engo which is also a great winch in the 300 dollar range. It worked alot better than the 1400 paper weight I replaced it with. Infact my buddy is still running that engo. been in use for 6 years now no issues.
  7. Best rooftop tent for JT?

Drop the hard shell and their are thousands of brands that meet this criteria. You're not gonna find a 5 foot hard shell. Most are 7+
  8. What winch?

Warn screwed me over royal so I'll never run their crap again. This go around I'm giving the RR trekker a shot. Ip68 water resistant and a warranty that will actually get honored.
  9. Help decide between CB radios

I'm shocked people are still paying such high prices for AM radios when a 20 dollar handheld FM massively out preforms them. He'll my entire mobile setup and a GMRS license is cheaper than just that CB m
  10. OFFMAPoverland's Gladiator Rubicon Build & Trip Journal

Great question. No idea. 3in of fresh white stuff coming down so no chance to get out and test it. Plus I've got these to install from @pixeldecals

ARB twin installed using their JL/JT mount. Added a regulator for giggle shits and I had it.
  12. OFFMAPoverland's Gladiator Rubicon Build & Trip Journal

Part 1 of our trip with Expedition Utah is premiering now.
  13. Ridiculous Order build time.

They are completely useless in these situations. Best thing that can happen is the dealer harass the regional manager. Jeep cares will just tell you to wait another 30 days before you can complain.
  14. Ridiculous Order build time.

I got boned too by the build feries. Mine got built quick then it failed inspection and sat for nearly 45 days with no movement.
  15. OFFMAPoverland's Gladiator Rubicon Build & Trip Journal

Ha. Yeah that's part of my talent for this. I don't get sick looking down. I got my start in Alaska doing rally cross type stuff and the big bit me. Found out I could read off turn notes without ever looking up. Before nav tablets made it easier. Doesnt hurt I'm a big nerd for maps. Lots of...
  16. Installing a CB radio

My VHF UHF still runs the curly cord. Radios are smaller and reach further with less power and smaller antenna. The head units aren't much different than a CB unless you get crazy with it.
  17. Installing a CB radio

CB sucks. Am modulation is horrible for any type of coms. Get a GMRS or MURs if you don't wanna take the ham test. Either is 100000x better than AM radio.
  18. Gears for 37" tires

A 37 in k02 is actually a 36 so you might be much better off
  19. OFFMAPoverland's Gladiator Rubicon Build & Trip Journal

  20. OFFMAPoverland's Gladiator Rubicon Build & Trip Journal

Im actually the navigator for the 4973 car. We pit for a couple other teams that manage pits for us when we race. Kind of a labor sharing scenario
