The best benefit of the snorkel is higher cleaner air. slow-moving in a dusty environment tends to allow a lot more dirt particles to circulate right where the factory intake is. Getting it up to the top of the windshield is great.
Auto.
In manual, once the engine warms up, the temp up down works as you would expect and so does the fan speed. I rarely use manual as auto works perfectly I just set it to a comfortable level and rarely touch it.
I'm looking to seal the tail gate. Mostly for dust since I have the topper and a fridge in the bed. Anyone have a kit they like or have used?
something like this is what I'm looking for...
If you have the factory heat its a simple matter to put a toggle on the butt heater. Remove the seat the two wire plug is your seat heat. disconnect and leave it off for no butt at all or wire in a toggle on the ground and put it somewhere easy to reach. Come summer Ill disconnect the butt...
We have different radio versions. Mine is the 8.4 yours looks like a 7. Some of those are features.
When I fire mine up with auto start it blows as hard as possible till the driver door is opened especially when cold. I usually am driving before the water temp gets enough to run the heater...
Careful when installing. Mine bent a pin on install and was a pain to straighten and fix.
If the lights don't come on when you plug it in pull it off and check for pin contacts bent.
Lets tone down the hostility in here.
fact 1
Some people are not happy with the function of their climate control.
fact 2
Some people are very happy with the function of their climate control.
fact 3
The majority of people who are happy won't be in a thread where the general complaint is not...
I question whether those complaining have any experience with a jeep with auto controls. Mine works perfectly and the same as the last 3 Jeeps I've had. It doesn't work the same as my Hyundai or the F150 we traded-in. Maybe, the problem is perception and being used to another manufacture...
I nailed the rims on moderate trails. nothing I would even remotely consider 4wd necessary. Pretty sure a subi would make it but I was being lazy in my line choice.
AND -18 will stick out ALOT overstock. If I recall correctly the factory is a +45. I run +7 and they stick out an inch from the...
Lots of people do in the Wrangler. I haven't seen a thread here yet on adding a kit.(could have missed it)
If you are going aftermarket seat covers I know you can add heat with the Katskinz kits. Or there are lots of kits on amazon. Get the right tool and you can do it yourself under the...
Oh yeah, when comparing to another vehicle I've never needed or really wanted to upgrade headlights. I had an old Silverado I just put Silverstar bulbs in when the old ones broke and it was plenty good enough. that was a 2001 pickup that had way better factory lights than my 2012 JKR had. Wife...
Is this your first JK JL or JT?
If so the halogens are notoriously terrible in these modern wranglers. I tried every combo in my JK and LED is the best one to be had and there is a reason its a factory option now because people complained about them A LOT. The led actually landed in the JK as a...
Rule of thumb for any vehicle that will air down to increase ride comfort offroad is at minimum. equal amounts of rim and tire.
Ideally, if you want to run a 20in rim and maintain offroad air down capability you would need a 40 in tire. The problem there is that most 20s are bro dozer rims with...
Well I was going to do my track bar today. Turns out I have the wrong one for this rig.
But I still swapped my bolts for 9/16 "shoulder" bolts. And for those wanting to do it. It's about 10bucks. You need 4 grade 8 washers two 3in bolts and a lock nut or lock washer nut combo. The amount of...
