  1. The 10 harsh truths Jeep didn't come out with a V8 Jeep gladiator.

No one is breaking the laws of physics, internal combustion engines are horribly inefficient - that extra power is just from doing a better job converting chemical energy into mechanical movement.
  2. The 10 harsh truths Jeep didn't come out with a V8 Jeep gladiator.

Except that’s still lower torque than both the Ranger 4cyl and my 3.0 oil burner You mean the #2 best selling truck after Ford’s bullshit of combining all F-series trucks into one report to pump their numbers? The same one that’s sold more than double the next closest midsize truck model? The...
  3. The 10 harsh truths Jeep didn't come out with a V8 Jeep gladiator.

Uh, might want to check your math. Ford Ranger 405 bhp 430 lb-ft 5.7 V8 as it sits in the Ram 1500: 395 bhp 410 lb-ft It’s been a while since school, but I’m pretty sure the alligator says 405>395 and 430>410
  4. The 10 harsh truths Jeep didn't come out with a V8 Jeep gladiator.

200# sitting right over the front axle sure makes a big difference in handling, stopping, and off road performance. A truck with 200# less weight hanging out in front sure handles differently over rough terrain.
  5. Rattle in rear when going over bumps with both rear wheels

Sway bar links are my usual suspect, could also be a heat shield that needs to be persuaded away from a bolt or other part
  6. The 10 harsh truths Jeep didn't come out with a V8 Jeep gladiator.

I’m fine without a V8. Demanding a V8 is putting the cart before the horse, it’s jumping to an old solution without defining the problem first. What is the problem someone is trying to solve? More horsepower? More torque? Both? What if there was a better way than a V8, something that gets “V8...
  7. Does Jeep purposely design their vehicles to get 19 mpg?

Sounds like you modify all your vehicles to get exactly 19mpg
  8. If you had to start your build over, what's the first mod you'd grab?

I like the M.O.R.E. dead pedal because it doesn’t rest on the mat, can be adjusted for longer or shorter drivers, and comes in red for added horsepower
  9. If you had to start your build over, what's the first mod you'd grab?

First: Find who has my truck and go full John Wick on them. Start with the cheap quality-of-life stuff: Tazer Mini, dead pedal, power to the bed, tonneau cover, mud flaps, wrap the paint in clear before it gets chipped or scratched, dog cover for the rear seat, rebuild my tool/recovery kit...
  10. What if Jeep switched from Wrangler based to Recon?

Could we make an “I went on AI and have to share the slop it vomited up” section for this kind of stuff? Maybe I’m old, but forums have always been places to talk to people with a common interest; all these copy-paste posts from AIs defeat the purpose. A while ago someone was asking for local...
  11. 392 Gladiator V8 Hemi confirmed by Jeep CEO!

Can you convert that into a measurement that makes more sense, like wallabies per fortnight or something?
  12. 2021 gladiator eco diesel front bottoms out on stops! What’s the best copilot springs to fix the issue

I believe the diesel got the same springs as the gas engine from the factory, it's stupidly undersprung. I put on a 2.5" lift with the correct spring rate for a diesel with a steel bumper and winch; it rides much better, but I still need upgraded shocks to get it dialed.
  13. 392 Gladiator V8 Hemi confirmed by Jeep CEO!

Was that one foretold by Nostradamus, tea leaves, rolling the bones, ancient runes, the stars, or chicken blood?
  14. Jeep Gladiator police truck

Forget the clamoring for a gas V8, I want one of those without EGR. I think you might have a problem at step 1, negating a need to worry about step 2.
  15. Jeep Gladiator police truck

Mine's a diesel, it's supposed to sound like an Ace Hardware falling down the stairs.
  16. Jeep Gladiator police truck

The taxpayer is the one footing the bill for a new engine, I don't think the PD cares much.
  17. Going on a trip… where should we stop and enjoy the scenery?

If passing through Utah try to hit Capitol Reef and Zion if you can. Capitol Reef is the least visited park in the state and there's a ton of petroglyphs that are easily accessed from the highway. The other parks will be a more significant detour, but worth it. If going through southern...
  18. So very close to disaster

Just as that front tire started to drop I heard Richard Dreyfuss in my head "Bad line, Ted. Bad line, Ted!"
