LOL! I like that. Semi-custom. Yes. @Woo it is done as @Oscar Indy says through the dealer and the installers have the skin patterns and some colors in stock. Mine had to be cut and took a few extra days. This Overland had nearly everything I wanted except the leather interior which gave me the...
Yeah. I too have done it. In Germany, their traffic lights do this beautiful thing where the yellow light comes on with the red light just before the it goes green. Been missing that. Anyhow, I just pay better attention to the light cycle, and I’ve come to love my auto start/stop. It’s an art.
I wasn’t sure about that red stitching comment, but I just looked at a 911 with red seats and red stitching on a black dash; it is quite sharp. I did briefly consider putting the red dash panels in, but I really wanted the more elegant look of the Overland leather panels.
So, someone asked me if I could share some photos of my red leather interior. I've been wanting to shoot some new ones, but my travel schedule is making that difficult. So, here are a few from early on. :involve:
And one with my revised dash.
Rode in my uncle’s CJ-7 as a kid...
Nearly bought a long-bed Comanche on several occasions just because I always thought they were neat...
First Jeep, 2020 Gladiator. :involve: This is my fist truck since selling the 2001 Sierra D-Max in 2004 because life wasn’t letting me use it properly.
Funny you mention that. I was running through my head, on the flight to Phoenix last night, how one could pull off a fully electric Gladiator. LOL! Getting the batteries and motors hermetically sealed without adding a crap ton of weight seems like a fun problem to solve.:clap:
LOL! My other vehicles are an Audi and a Porsche (albeit a very underpowered one), and one thing I love about the Gladiator is that I’m "slow" now! ;)
Do you have a lift, or are the highline fenders making it look a bit off to me? I was looking at my Overland and thinking that set up could work. Been struggling with 20s on a Jeep, but I have to be honest; my Gladiator is more of a truck than a Jeep. My stock tires are already taller than my...
The 2-3 jump is annoying, but you get used to it more or less. I still feel a 7-spd would be preferable to take care of that. Starting is imperfect, but I’m not expecting a German car sort of feel out of this thing.
I’ve towed a couple of different trailers with mine; it does very well under...
Easy enough to make that mistake. Always considered myself a Midwestern girl (Ohio), but I love the Lakes. Anyhow, just moved to Elmhurst a little over a month ago, and also have an Overland. :like:
I like being able to let him drive on long trips or when I’m tired. Besides, once I sell the Allroad, the 944 and Gladiator will be the only options left. ... Now, I need to get my daughter to learn! :fingerscrossed:
