I am quite happy with my Clayton lift. The only negative I would say (and its not really a negative if your using it) is the weight. Because the lift's are BEEFY the arms naturally weigh more then other competitive lift's. Of course that extra mass also means extra strength as with just about...
I stand corrected. I was looking at the product features & its not mentioned on any of them. It makes sense for them to not keep producing 2 competing products.
The ONLY time you keep the rear springs is when doing the Rubicon Take off's. Otherwise you ditch them in favor of the ones that come with your lift.
To correct above... The Clayton rear trackbar is straight, not curved. They do have a curved one available, but it doesn't come with the lift. I...
If I was buying today & ordering what I want.. I would go for the diesel.. A bit more torque to turn big tires would not bother me. Also I am in a state thats easy on emissions so the extra diesel repair costs would start & end with delete.
the only thing stopping me from ordering the red lasfit's to match my factory aux switch's is that rj12 jack.. I hate shit that I wont use being there. If only there was an option for USB or even that being blank I could deal with it.
I havent seen any that check all my box's.. The cosest is the Red Summit Max Coverage

They have 3 variations of it available in both steel & aluminum.
I have...
The back seat has no Molle in the higher end covers. There isnt anyplace to put it. And I believe they just cover the Rubicon back's so you get the bartact molle instead of the Rubicon's plastic panel.
I can tell you... NOT MUCH.. I think all of mine are still kicking around my scrap metal pile in my garage. If I get a chance I will get them on a scale.
Honestly I break it down into 3 places
Dont wanna mod but still wanna go offroad = Rubicon/Mojave (whichever suits your off-roading more)
Wanna Mod, but dont wanna do a full axle swap = Sport S w/ Max Tow
Wanna Mod, Will do the axle swap or just wanna drive it stock = Sport S/Overland
I went...
Got my Bartact seat covers installed today.. The fitment of the front was fantastic.. The back not so much. Nothing seems to be quite right back there. Not like super off, but off enough that the center headrest isnt going back in. Im going to pull them & reinstall them with a bit of adjustments...
Welp.. Northridge had the black on black bartact's for both front & rear in stock.. Order placed & per Northridge support on the phone will ship today. Everyone else in my house was opposed to leather.. Go figure that they are all girls & wear short shorts.. Something about burning their legs...
Holy Hell batman.. I ordered my bartact covers about 10 days ago from 4wd.com & just now got an email from them saying 8-10 weeks more & will ship direct from the manufacturer. Called bartact & they confirmed this as well & added that it may take even longer then that. Calling 4wd.com now to...
Gotta admit this was the hardest part for me.. Now that I have my storage method worked out I leave my JT naked as much as I can. Basically I will put the top on IF I have to because of weather & I have to leave my house.
I don't know that short of an RV I have ever driven anything that didn't have that feeling.. Scooting forward & leaving the seat back did relieve some of that feeling though... I Still feel like its a small windshield, but I dont find myself as slumped over trying to see when the light turns...
I don't really want it any lower. I am pretty happy with the position now that I have the front elevated. If there was a more comfortable seat option that I could go for. A bit of Lumbar would do wonders. I have the Bartact covers with their inflatable lumbar coming to address that though.
This was my first experience sitting in a JT (same height, with a 30" inseam so my legs are pretty short). Pulling the seat forward & leaning the seat back got around that for me. Cant hit the roll bar now without trying.
I 2nd this right here.. I am 6'3" and felt like I was sliding out of the seat forward before the seat jackers. With the constant sliding forward the limited leg room was 10x worse.. Keeping my ass back where it belongs & now the leg room is passible.
