Absolutely.
The reasoning for "Why not a Gladiator" is involved, and I made a whole video about it here:
Yes, just using glue and no bolts is very common for composites, it's the standard way and is much stronger and lighter.
What we bolted on weighs less than what we took off.. so the Jeep...
Absolutely, we spent a ton of time thinking about the pros and cons of the Gladiator for this build.
Checkout the video above where I directly compare them.. it turns out the Gladiator is not the perfect solution...

Thanks for the kind words everyone!
In this week's video we bond in the rear floor and add a ladder for quick access before I spend a ton of time wiring up all the rear lights and connecting them with factory plugs to the original Jeep harnesses.
At the end we take it for a test drive to make...
For anyone that's curious, I also filmed all of the reasons this is being built on a Wrangler rather than a Gladiator - there's many technical reasons and one major philosophical reason for the choice.

Hi Everyone,
After driving the length of the Pan-American Highway in a TJ, right around Africa in a JKUR and around Australia in a JT Gladiator, I'm embarking on my next major build and expedition.
For where I want to go in the world I've decided that interior living space is the number one...
Hi All,
I cut the rear half off my 2021 Wrangler Rubicon, and have the following parts for sale. They all have 40k miles on them, but are virtually new to look at.
All can be picked up near the Tehachapi, CA area, or I may be able to bring it to Overland Expo PWN in Redmond, OR on July 7th...
Hi Everyone,
It's been a long time, but I've finally finished editing the conclusion to the Australia expedition.
Even after all of the adventures above, there was one track that haunted my dreams, and I knew I would never, ever forgive myself if I didn't squeeze it in.
It was actually closed...
It's in the works now, but I'm not discussing it publicly at this stage because there's still so much that can change or go wrong.
I'll be going to a part of the world I've never been to, and I want it to be an improvement in every way over my previous vehicles.
Fingers crossed I'll be showing...
The 50Ah Lithium proved to be enough for me with a Dometic 55L fridge, lights, water pump and chargers (cameras, gopros, etc.). The only time it wasn't enough was using my MacBook Pro for video editing for 5+ hours (it runs HOT) and uses tons of power. If I was parked in the sun it was fine with...
You're very welcome.
I looked at the wiring diagrams and stuff for a while, and I thought it was like hte Renogy (DC/DC charger AND solar in one PLUS a big fuse block) ... but then it talks about how you have to connect a DC/DC charger into it.
So I *think* it's just a big fuse block. A damn...
You're forgetting that the fridge has a thermostat, and will only actually be "on" for a fraction of that 10 hours in camp. If you've been driving all day and the fridge is full and it's not too hot outside, you might find the compressor only comes "on" for 30 minutes for that entire 10 hours...
That is true, but it's not the whole story.
Connecting two batteries directly to an Alternator is not the most efficient, or correct way to charge them. It works, but alternators are not designed to do that, and it takes a VERY long time to charge up a battery that is lower when it's just...
So I had dual Optima Yellow tops in the JKU I drove around Africa (3 years, 54,000miles) that worked well enough. I used a big solenoid to bridge then when the engine was running (so the alternator would charge both) and when the engine was off they would separate, and the starter battery would...
Absolutely, I can't wait until Ursa start building them and I can climb all over one and check it out. I really liked the Gladiator and it was excellent for Australia.
For where I'm planning on going next, I want to maximize interior living space...

Thanks for tagging me, I hadn't seen this discussion.

Back in 2019 I walked around SEMA with John Gish (of Ursa Minor) and we talked at length about a JT-30 pop-up roof. We did a lot of hang waiving and comparing the ideas and thoughts to My Wrangler J-30 that was there on display. It was...
