  1. Touchup paints for steel bumper compared

Excellent presentation of information. Looks very good. Too bad someone/something got too close, but you did an excellent job on the touch up.
  2. DIY Custom Wood Bed Separator

Nicely done. Looks good, and the hooks are a nice touch. I keep wanting to make something like this for my JTR, but I’ve had sooo many health issues the past couple of years I just haven’t been able to get any projects like this done. It’s hell to get older…
  3. Supercharged 2020 Jeep Gladiator "Popeye"

I’ve seriously considered adding forced induction to my ā€˜21 JTR, especially since we live at 6,500’ elevation, and naturally aspirated engines lose power that high, but I just can’t quite commit. Does the Magnuson setup require premium fuel? Are there any issues with engine coolant or oil temps...
  4. Towjave putting in work

Thatā€˜s a great area, in the Sacramento Mountains. Used to have relatives in Capitan.
  5. Towjave putting in work

I have to ask what part of New Mexico? We retired to Western New Mexico (Catron County) also in 2023, and I’m just curious. Nice looking setup…
  6. Custom removable steps for factory Gladiator rock slider rails preview (coming soon)

It looks really good. Like others, the price point will have some bearing on my getting these, but other than that, looks absolutely great.
  7. Confirmed: Gladiator 4xe coming in 2025. JT Gladiator production continues into 2028

I’ve wondered for a long time why a paradigm like REPB hasn’t been pursued by any manufacturer before. It’s the method used for diesel/electric locomotives, and has been for like 90 years. Having a stable onboard source of electricity to power/drive traction motors on the wheels makes perfect...
  8. FCA Reports Q3 2023 US Sales, Including Jeep Gladiator Sales

I have to say that the rather brutal Gladiator price increases, and the unavailability of the diesel and manual transmission models, has had a major impact on sales. When I bought my ā€˜21 Rubicon, I got an acceptable deal, but now the sticker for the same equipment is 20% higher. With interest...
  9. Weight Distribution Hitch

If it works, it works! I’ve followed directions on similar-age WD hitches, and it just wasn’t right. Decided to try my own approach, and achieved great results. Sometimes, it just takes trial-and-error.
  10. Changed my oil, reset the levels, but still getting message that oil change is overdue

I use an old (from the ā€˜90s) technique for the dash, and it works every time for me - so far, at least. Turn on the ignition without starting the engine, pump the accelerator pedal three times fully, then turn the ignition off. Let it sit a minute or two, then start it. I’ve never had that fail...
  11. Lug nut question

Shouldn’t be an issue. Just don’t rotate the wheel by moving the Gladiator very much with the missing lugnut.
  12. I'm Skeptical of These New Grille Cooling Claims

Empirically testing the effects of different grille configurations - now there’s an idea! Anecdotal results aren’t often valid, and neither are ā€œI believeā€ results. Do some rigid testing. Great post.
  13. That looks familiar??

Actually, I’m guessing itā€˜s the same third-party supplier, like so many other things.
  14. California Front& rear steel bumpers

Please tell me you’re not going to Jeep Only in Las Vegas, which is where this current Gladiator appears to be from. I realize that Lithia now owns the dealership, but my experience there buying my Rubicon was the worst dealer experience I’ve ever had, period.
  15. Stopped at light Gladiator vs 53’ Semi Truck…

In the immortal words of ET: ā€OUCHā€¦ā€
  16. Who can tell me …

This is a dealer add-on that relies on being ā€œscience-adjacentā€ to be sold. Using cathodic or anodic sacrificial metal systems can help preserve ship’s hulls in saltwater environments, but this doesn’t apply to vehicle sheet metal or paint. Someone bought a useless item that boosted the dealer...
  17. Magnuson SC

I’ll be very interested in the final setup, also. I have a ā€˜21 Rubicon with the 6-speed manual. I’ve been considering forced induction, as we live at ~6,500 feet elevation, and it would help maintain power in the mountains around us. Please update with your best results.
  18. Jeep Colors

Have a Renegade (2017) that’s Anvil - never have understood that name - and really like it. Bought a ā€˜21 Gladiator in Sting-Gray, since that was as close as I could get then. The ’24 Wrangler is available in Anvil, so I may have to repaint or buy another Gladiator (really don’t want to do that...
