I don't know whether I'd call it a 1st gen or not...the disappointing part for me is that the front end which is arguably NOT 1st gen is where the majority of the problems are. It should not have taken 3 years of JL's and 1 year of JT's to figure out that the steering is shit and needed to be...
I'm glad I read this thread...I felt like I was going crazy. I'm about to roll 30k miles on mine. I have the 3.5" skyjacker coil spring lift and started experiencing DW last winter. I live in SE Texas and so winter last year wasn't much cooler than the low 40's but definitely noticed that...
Nice to know that'll work! Thats the same size lift I have and my plan is to go to 40's after my 37's wear out. I have been looking at the AAL and Quake chop kits but can't make up my mind. I really like the RR Max Terrain fenders but they still haven't released any for the JT yet.
I had some start/stop alarms when I 1st bought mine but they just went away. I never got the misfire code but mine idles the exact same way and has since I bought it 7/19. I've got ~30000 miles on it now and it still idles like that...or at least it did a month ago when I took it in for the tsb...
I was told the same thing and threw a fit...it turns out your warranty will pay for a rental. If they don't have any at the dealer then you request that they get one from a rental company.
Rough Country DS2. Install was a nightmare but overall I like them. If I had to do it over again I probably would have gone with the other RC steps that are contoured.
Well that sucks. The highline fenders are stock stateside...I would check your paperwork and make sure that the dealer you bought it from didn't swap them out without telling you. I get branding differently for other regions but the equipment should be the same unless there is some regional...
Please reply back with your results. I've been considering buying these and just using the fronts. I already have the max tow black 2 piece fenders so I would install these on the front and chop the rears. I'm confused that the RR rep is saying that an additional bracket for the light is...
Damn that sux...i was completely devastated when this thing wobbled for the 1st time. Ive had 2 other JK's and it took a lot of miles/wear & tear before it happened on them. Im glad they've finally acknowledged that there really is a steering issue with these things...
I didnt go quite that big but i did replace my steering stabilizer with the Fox TS and added the synergy sector shaft and tie rod brace. That took care of it completely. I have not taken it to the dealership to get the new steering box yet and at 28,000 miles im running out of time.
I just rolled 28,000 miles on my Sport S Max Tow and have recently began to notice that the ESS is causing a jump/lunge when it restarts. I have had my gladiator for over a year and have become very accustomed to the way this thing runs and this is definitely a new development. Specifically when...
I wish they would make a Galdiator version of these. They aren't tapered and have an OEM look with the slim LED drl/blinker. I may end up buying these and just chopping the rear fenders.
13 months 26000 miles and only major issue has been the steering. I spent ~$500 on a new steering stabilizer and the sector shaft brace at 12000 miles and have not had any issues again. I would by far purchase again if I had to do it over!
I wish I would have known this before I bought it...Amazon gives you 2 options: with the overrider bar or with the tow hooks and winch plate. The tow hooks definitely come with either but I assumed that the one that came with the overrider bar didn't come with the winch tray.
