I have a max tow sport s, mopar lift and 35x12.5r17 KO2’s. Our camper is the 2020 Cherokee wolf wolf pup black label 16bhs, it’s around 4,000 lbs when we load it up. We’ve traveled just shy of 4,000 miles with it since May. That includes a trip from Dallas,TX to Estes, CO and back. The truck...
I use the adaptive cruise on mine while towing on the highway/interstates. I set the distance to the maximum car lengths in case someone decides to cut in front of me. Works great
what's your avg towing mpg with the 4.88's? ive been considering swapping my 4.10's to 4.88 for a little better mpg when towing (sorry if I've already asked you, can't remember who I've asked and who i haven't). My trailer is about the same size, averaging 8 to 9 mpg with around 10 being best...
I was interested in this rack, it seems to be the only one marketed to work with the mopar tonneau. So there is no way to roll up the tonneau at all? not even by angling it sideways or something to get passed the legs?
I have not switched to manual mode while towing . I also used to turn the over drive off in my JK to maintain power at highway speeds while running 35’s, so I know exactly what you mean. The 8 speed in the JT seems to do a great job of staying in the gear it needs for the power being asked of...
what sort of gas mileage are you seeing with the 4.88 gears while towing? I have the max tow package with 4.10, was considering 4.88's for towing our 21' cherokee wolf pup. went to Colorado and back from Dallas, averaged 8.4 mpg.
I went this route as well. I've used them towing my 21'x7' Cherokee wolf pup RV trailer just under 3,000 miles so far. They work great for this size trailer. I can see the full passing lane next to me on the drivers side, and a safe amount of the passenger side lane (but not the whole lane)...
Truck did great towing our wolf pup all the way from Dallas to Rocky Mountain National park. 1900 miles total, with an average of 8.3 mpg. The west texas winds struck again there and back, around 20 mph. I was actually averaging 10.3 from around the Colorado Border up in to Estes Park, so mpg...
Yes, I’m using the Husky Centerline TS weight distribution anti-sway hitch. I’ve been in some high winds , haven’t experienced any sway with this set up and truck drives nice and level. I’m really happy with it.
That’s my experience as well. I have the 2020 Cherokee wolf pup black label 16bhs. Almost identical on weight. I’ve towed mine a little over 1,000 miles now, 5th and 6th 90% of the time. Averaging around 9 mpg
That’s a sweet trailer! We’re towing up to Colorado in a couple weeks as well to spend some time in Rocky Mountain National Park. I’ll report back with our experience when we get back to Texas.
Towed 684 miles round trip this weekend, Dallas to Amarillo . 21’ Cherokee wolf pup black label, about 3400 lbs. husky centerline weight distribution, Curt wireless brake controller. Sport s max tow auto trans, 35” KO2’s, mopar 2” lift. Had 23 mph winds there and back as well as rain...
I've tracked a total of 5,319 miles and 31 fill-ups, i'm averaging 14.8 mpg. 60% city stop and go in the mostly flat Dallas, TX metro. Max Tow Sport S, mopar 2" lift, premium soft top, mopar soft tonneau (I always have it in use), 35" BFG KO2's, 17" black rhino overland wheels (matching...
Looking for any fellow Jeepers that may have a grand cherokee in addition to their wrangler or JT and have experienced this issue. My dad is having a strange problem with his 2016 Grand Cherokee overland.
