Ok, I got my AEV 2 inch lift kit with the longer Mopar control arms. I am not arguing that level lower control arms are not the best format to be in for ride, but I am going to install without the brackets and see if I notice a real difference from stock. Its just 2 inches so my hope is that...
I really like the Bestop Twill Trifold. No real installation, four clamps hold it on, easy to remove and it wont deform or damage the plastic rails, it just sits on the pads.
It's more fun and enjoyable on road than other "regular" vehicles. Had a nice daily driver for a while, it wound up sitting because I always chose the Jeep.
Welcome, I put that teraflex spacer lift on my JL about 2 years ago no issues, probably should have looked at adding the mopar lift longer control arms, not a deal killer but it would have been an easy cheap add. If you plan on doing it yourself and you are not a pro, plan on it taking 2 or 3...
That's what I am thinking/hoping with my planned 2 inch lift on the Mojave and the mopar longer arms. But I am open to the brackets if it feels much different than stock. A little more concerned with how much the axle will shift with the lift, left or right, I know it will a little.
Its mostly about another 300 bucks for something I may not even notice the benefit of. I have never been as particular as others on its driving characteristics, I actually like the fact that it will never drive like a car. I am doing the longer control arms though, like you said, cheap add.
Have the AEV 2inch lift kit coming with the mopar longer control arms for my mojave, gunna try it without the geo brackets. We'll see, if I notice an issue, I'll get them, but would rather not spend the money if I don't have to. Really don't like the idea of lifting 2 inches and then putting...
The performance times between the two are virtually identical, but the 2.0 does a magic trick where there are surges in the power delivery and gives the illusion of something faster, the delivery in the 3.6 is pretty consistent through the band and feels much more refined. Drove both when buying...
They are an obstacle underneath, I am going with the 2 inch AEV lift and the mopar kit lower control arms. Differing opinions out there but I'm gunna see what it's like without the geos.
But unless you need to tow a yacht, why would you want to? Big, but invisible, no character at all. As we all know, number 1 can be subjective. I know, I'm being a homer here :) but even at 60k would rather have the JT, at least in the Mojave garb.
I guess it's all about perspective and what you are used to. I find the interior well put together and nice. To me the JL/JT dash is just about perfect, great mix of analog and digital. I am a slim 6 3 and don't need to put the seat all the back. The smallerness of the interior and the closeness...
