  2. Jeep trademarks "Jeep Xtreme Performance"

Not sure if it's been posted... https://www.thedrive.com/news/jeep-trademarks-jeep-xtreme-performance-for-use-on-vehicles-and-parts Putting aside that the article mistakenly says that Xtreme Recon adds the HEMI, I wonder if this the branding Jeep will use to replace SRT and/or Trackhawk?
  3. 392 and Xtreme Recon Gladiator not happening; but 4xe likely...

https://www.motorauthority.com/news/1135622_jeep-boss-jeep-trackhawk-tbd-performance-v-8s-dead-for-grand-cherokee Not altogether unsurprising that the JT won't get the 392 or XR. Wrangler has volume and direct competition on it's side. I wonder if they're even seeking to compete with Ranger...
  4. Maybe it's just me, but this should have been the Wagoneer...

www.autoevolution.com/news/jeep-cherokee-chief-makes-digital-comeback-in-2022-it-s-a-two-door-baby-wagoneer-181753.html If they weren't going to go full retro, I think the GW/W needed to have more callbacks to the original. Add 2 more doors to this rendering, and I think it works far better...
  5. I've now seen as many Mavericks and Santa Cruz as

Broncos in the wild. 2 for each vehicle. Central to seacoast NH here. One of the Bronco Off Rodeos was held not far from me. Ford really needs to get their act together.

  8. Inline 6 to debut in next Trackhawk?

https://www.thedrive.com/news/41438/new-jeep-grand-cherokee-trackhawk-wont-have-hellcat-v8-report Reading between the lines, that could be the new I-6, or perhaps something already in the Stellantis inventory. However if you click through to the cited article, it very much implies the I-6...

  14. The Unintended Consequences of Good Intentions, or: Price Gouging Laws are Stupid

Right, that's the point. We're taking issue with the prohibitions against "gouging." To the extent that "gouging" prohibitions work, they reduce supply and result in less equitable rationing. While jacking the price in the face of a crisis seems unfair, it actually provides a valuable...
  15. Anyone seen dealers trying to dissuade purchases?

Just test drove a Sport S w/max tow here in CT. This dealer had an addendum for $2000 over msrp to discourage a purchase, because they only had 2 Glads (Rubi and the Sport), and their first two were bought within hours. They're trying to keep it on lot to have something to show. Anybody else...
  16. Wish I had the ability to take on a project...

Alas, I don't have the time, space or extra cash to take this on. But just in case any NH Jeepers...or MA, ME & VTers for that matter... are interested: Listed on the "NH Big Boy Toys/Sell And Trade" group on Facebook.
  17. Fooled by Google search results

So I was doing a Google search for any new information on the JT, and I refined by results in the past week. Here's what saw: Saw the "8 hours ago" and thought news was dropping. Unfortunately I didn't notice that the article was from August.
