That's what I wanted to hear. I pulled the trigger on a Metal Cloak 3.5" Game Changer with Rock Sport shocks. Now I need to find who has Nitto Trail Grapplers in stock... it appears there is a national backorder on them.
Thank you very much for your input!
Ok...that is good to know. My JTR lives in Moab, so it will get some articulation love. With your 3.5" did you feel that you needed the spacers, or do you think just going to the 4.5" EVO be what would work best (no spacers of course) for offroading?
This thread has me intrigued. I was looking at an EVO Enforcer 4.5" and I really don't want to get tires bigger than 37s because I want to be able to leave the spare tire under the vehicle. From the looks of the pics, it looks like 37" with this 2.5" is perfect.
How is the 2.5" with the break...
Just a quick update... weather got nice enough to get these installed. Finding places to install it was a bit challenging in order to keep away from the exhaust (heat). The best way I found to route the cables was through the frame. That made it clean. The folks from Dixie 4 Wheel in Moab...
Yeah the rope protector was a bit fun... trying not to scratch it too bad from the hammer bouncing. It took quite a bit more effort than the videos showed. I put a lot of force behind it. One of the rivets went in easily... the other 3 just wouldn't seat until after about 60-80 powerful hits...
Yep!
Thanks for that info. If you ever (please) get a chance to take a pic of the front mounting location and how you routed the wire... that would be awesomely helpful. I struggled with that one for a good hour trying to get it wired decently... the moving parts got me concerned about a wire...
@Bonanza ... may I ask your install locations? I gave it a run today and I almost got one side done until I got to the front.... due to all the JTR hardware under there (lockers, etc), I was having a rough time finding good install locations. I ended up pulling them as I ran low on time. I...
I got them and am now ready to install them. I have a few questions for those in the know...
1 - Did you use loom? According to the directions, it looks like you can just wire them up and not be concerned (leads me to Q2). If you did use loom, did you loom everything or just certain...
I just got my warn 10s installed along with the warn mount plat. It certainly wasn’t a walk in the park but everything mostly fit. Hardest part was the inner bolts and it took a long time to get those tightened which took several articulating heads/sockets/extensions. The other part was...
BTW, I have a JTR.... with built in Swaybar Disconnect... those are unused. As easily as they come off... I cannot fathom on a JTR (and perhaps the Sport) what those are used for. They have to be for something that doesn't need high retention because it didnt take much to come off. I would...
@JRobes ... I am right at this point and it does indeed look like that welded bolt needs to come off because the warn plates do not fit terribly well. Can you please verify that black welded bolt indeed needs to be 86'd? :-) I assume both on the plate need to come off? I figure I would get...
So here is what I ended up with...I used some steel 14g angle bracket from the hardware store.... the angle already had holes so no need to drill anything. I used a jigsaw with a metal blade to cut it to size. I used hjcda's idea about the felt. I got some square felt pads for furniture and...
That’s super clean. You just gave me ideas... I bought an angle iron with predrilled holes but yours has a near OEM look. I’m gonna probably head back to the hardware store and get a metal bar to do what you did. It’s simple and small. Nicely done.
Howdy,
Back in December, I got a killer deal on a Warn Zeon 10-S winch. At the same time, I also got a great deal on a Warn 101255 winch plate for the JT factory steel bumper. However, I was informed it was on national back order. It was supposed to ship Jan 27, but the factory said no...
Does anyone here have a picture of the trail cam going up and over a hill/obstacle? The only time I use my trail cam is when I'm climbing up and over something where the vehicle is pointed up. I look at the trail cam and I use it to see what is coming up on the other side. These low bars seem...
