  1. To Solenoid or Not

Yes... the lockout was one of main reasons for using the SPod for the same reason I use it for my ARB Twin Compressor. I can see my son taking the Jeep out offroading and gets himself into a pickle and decides to use the winch w/o the engine running. Then I get a big tow/rescue/jump bill :CWL:
  2. To Solenoid or Not

Yeah I looked at that JL mounting bracket... $80...ouch. I think I will try the $9 ABS piece first and see how that goes. I just hope it doesnt get brittle and crack. An aluminum piece would be a decent way to go as well.
  3. To Solenoid or Not

Perfect! Hitting Amazon now...I'll post some pics when done towards the end of the month or early Feb.
  4. To Solenoid or Not

Thats very polished. I have the Spod, so I will wire it to the other side. However, you are giving me a great idea for where to put a bus fuse power distribution bar for my rock lights. Great idea for what you did. Let me ask... how did you get the holes for the screws to the fender lined up...
  5. To Solenoid or Not

I found it :-) https://www.amazon.com/Install-Bay-89-00-9031-Plastic-8-Inch/dp/B0007WTF02 Thanks! Very nice install and exactly what I was thinking of doing. That thread is very helpful.
  6. To Solenoid or Not

Ok...that is EXACTLY what I was thinking about doing... may I ask where you got that piece of metal? EDIT: NM... you said ti in the thread... thank you for that.
  7. To Solenoid or Not

That looks like a polished install. Thanks for the pic... that helps. I was also thinking I could hang it off the fender as there is a nice location with one of the 10mm fender bolts that could hold it down. I see a pretty good deal on the Warn power interrupt kit on Amazon right now. But...
  8. To Solenoid or Not

Great... may I ask where/how you mounted it?
  9. To Solenoid or Not

Just bought a Warn 10-S for the Gladiator and am currently waiting on the Warn mount for the OEM steel bumper. The mount appears to be on national back order as I guess COVID got their manufacturing speed in a bit of a bind. So as I wait, I was ordering things to make the install polished and...
  10. Bulkhead (top left and right side) threading missing?!!

Yep! I have the same problem. 08/2020 MFR date. I have the RR Armis Hard Folding and ran into the identical issue. I contacted RR and they are familiar with the problem and are trying to design a workaround for it. I heard a rumor they have one, but I would call their customer service to...
  11. The other day my battery died and I’m trying to figure out why

Funny thing... this happened the other day to my son's Highlander. I told him he had to have had something on because unless the battery is bad, it should have charged. I jumped his car... he drove it and didn't have the problem come back. What happened? He likely left a light on or...
  12. Lux Lights for Rock Lights?

Gorgeous... nicely done. Can’t wait to get mine installed. USPS finally delivered mine but they are holding it until I get back home. Your photo is inspiring me... this will be fun for o install. Did you use the pro package or just wire all the lights together yourself? I’m on the fence to...
  13. Lux Lights for Rock Lights?

When did you order them and receive them? We ordered Dec 2, and as of today... Dec 16, still no lights.
  14. Lux Lights for Rock Lights?

I finally got ahold of them and had a decent email conversation with them, although they aren't the friendliest chaps in the world. Their signature in their email includes the defunct 800 number. I let them know it is not working and that we could have avoided a bit of drama if they had simply...
  15. Lux Lights for Rock Lights?

Ok... thanks for the input. I got a bit concerned the way they have handled this. We got absolutely no email replies or way to contact them, so they began looking sketchy. The BBB rating didn’t help. I’m glad it worked out for you guys. I’m looking forward to getting them.... albeit it...
  16. Lux Lights for Rock Lights?

Has anyone here used Lux System Lights for Rock Lights? I watched a video from another Jeep forum's website where the owner put 8 of them on his Gladiator and they seemed perfect to me. The magnets left the need to drill/cut and one could stick them anywhere. They are a US based company and...
  17. Reaching Utah Monolith through Lockhart Basin

Thought I would report a fun trip report from Nov 28, 2020. News of the Utah Monolith came out and my brother said "Hey... you should go here". He sent me the coordinates. I called one of my neighbors here in Moab who owns a Jeep Rubicon with a lift + 35s and asked him if he would like to...
  18. Moab recommendations

Stock JTR Gator here. We kinda sorta live there (second home) and head there every month. Was just there 1.5 weeks ago and headed there over Thanksgiving. My maiden voyage was Chicken Fingers. Second ride was Behind The Rocks... not the whole thing... just a taste. Took it from 191 through...
  19. New JT Gladiator Steering Issue TSB 08-074-20 (for "Improved Steering Feel")

My 2020 Gladiator had the pull/wander at 100 miles. Called Grand Junction Jeep and they said there was a 2 month wait on the steering box part. They told me to hold on while they check something and came back to the phone a minute later... they said they had one in stock. I told them to hold...
  20. Long road trips with JT

My other vehicle is a 2020 Ford F-350 Platinum 6.7 Powerstroke with 8ft Bed. Its drives like being in 1st class on a 747. The wife loves it. Its definitely relative because my new JT is not nearly as nice. That feels more like the B seat in economy class. Its bumpy and drives like a...
