I just picked up my Sarge Green Rubicon at Gupton this morning. I stopped at the Corvette museum in Bowling Green on my way home and I was able to park next to another Rubicon.
Jeep could learn a lot from the Corvette factory pickup option. They put your car on the museum floor, bring you in...
In my research while waiting for mine to arrive, this is the one factory feature I didn't order that I wish I had. It may not be the first upgrade I do, but I will get to it. I do appreciate all the work you've put into keeping the documentation up to date on this.
If the failures are so rare, it seems like it should be easy to cover most of the replacement cost in order to provide better customer service and protect your reputation.
This thread and the other Oracle threads have convinced me to steer clear of Oracle.
Walter at Gupton just clarified that you cannot combine the Chrysler Capital incentives along with the additional 1% discount from Gupton. It's one or the other:
I double checked the original proposal I got from him and it did say that:
Well, I'm heading down Tuesday to pick mine up!
Looking closer I see that the cash allowance is only good when financed through Chrysler Capital. I wasn't planning on financing this through them, but this certainly changes the math. Especially when combined with the additional 1% off from...
I think that may be my Sarge Green on the end. Jeep chat said delivery was complete when I checked on Monday.
Anyone know how long Gupton has been taking lately to process new arrivals? I know they have a lot to do so I'm trying not to bug them. I'll need to book a flight to go pick this up...
I ordered on 2/28 and I was stuck in that state for 7 weeks. Then suddenly it moved through production and shipping and arrived at the dealer 10 days later. Now I'm just waiting for the dealer to let me know it's ready for pickup.
I don't think I ever got an email or letter confirmation. I searched on https://wireless2.fcc.gov/UlsApp/UlsSearch/searchGmrs.jsp about a month after I applied and my license did show up there.
@Jonnyroams My update today from Jeep Chat correlates with what you were told:
I guess I wasn't getting this before because mine wasn't in the shipping stage until yesterday.
I've been checking with Jeep Chat daily recently and today for the first time I was told:
"My apologies, our system that provides ETA is currently down and we are unable to provide ETA and would recommend contacting back next week".
So I think they are having problems, but that's a new problem...
Control numbers are valid for the calendar year that they are generated in. Guess that makes them tough to use near the end of December.

Can you confirm that the lights are connected to a normal ground and all of the dimming control is done on the 12V side? Often LEDs are dimmed by controlling the ground, but your report indicates that's not the case.
I don't have my JT yet and I haven't worked on automotive lighting much, but...
Finally got some movement on my order. After 7 weeks of waiting, It's in trim today.

Thanks for the pics. Does the body meet at top of the fins pictured? Looks like it would be tough to slip something in from this side. Does the other side have better access?
@Wolf Island Diver Do you by chance have a picture of a not broken stanchion? I'm wondering if some kind of tool can be fabricated for getting in and releasing them without breaking them.
