Not sure if any performance figures regarding those types of upgrades, if they even exist?? Intake is pretty well optimized and the computers will alter fuel:air regardless. I’d love to hear a 3.6 p-star with a mean cam lope…go for it!
If you are good with a wrench I’d imagine it might net you...
To my knowledge these Pentastar engines are pretty well “maxed” out from the factory. I’ve seen threads involving higher grade forged internals, along with turbo & supercharged forced induction..nothing over stock really seemed reliable.
In for any updated info though.. ?
Agreed with @Hootbro . When my JK oil cooler/filter housing started leaking it leaked out behind the engine and down my transmission (think middle of vehicle). Never a drop from the front.
This would be the first I've heard of a pentasutar timing cover/valve cover leaking after a few years...
I’d replace alot of stuff if 80k+ miles, but ball joints for sure. My JK had DW around 90k on stock BJs and changing them cured my DW. It’s not too bad if a job with the right tools.
Personally for the mileage and being a new to you jeep with issues I’d replace BJs first, track bar & drag link...
Feeling bad for you. That was a sharp looking Mojave too. Best of luck with the process. I’d encourage you to not give up on getting another Jeep if that’s what makes you happy..perhaps take steps to prevent theft again such as parking inside a garage if you have one?
That is one hell of a brutal interest rate. We didn't even entertain the idea of financing with the dealer, so can't comment on what her rate would have been with a similar credit score. Thankfully we've been able to position ourselves where paying in full is a feasible option. It definitely...
The GF and I are going to pick up her 2023 Gladiator this Saturday. Sticker just over 52k and the OTD price is just over 40k for a relatively well equipped Sport S (only missing heated seats which we will do aftermarket). She's paying for it outright so no issues with crazy interest rates. Could...
I went with this one, love it. I think it's the perfect fit with the sport height fender flares. It is heavy... I managed to install it myself with some slight contorting and the help of a floor jack since I didn't want to wait for my GF to come home and help.
BFG KO2s for the win. Not the most cutting edge design, but have worked very well for me x3 sets on my vehicles as I've been able to get 60k miles out of them with even wear and minimal road noise.
Anyone have a suggestion on a good trickle charger for these trucks? I'll be going on a 9 month "vacation" of sorts and intend to leave it on the charger for that time.
I’ve got the same and love it. Completely agree that the instructions were dog doo doo. Other than that I love the look and how stout it seems. Enjoy!
I changed the coil packs on the driver bank when I changed the plugs on my JK because the driver bank is a PITA to get to. You need to remove the upper intake plenum and some vacuum lines. Id recommend at least changing those. Also, not that this will be an issue for you, literally a week after...
I wish nuclear would be more prevalent. I’ll admit I’m not very knowledgeable on the ins and outs of it though. My personal fear with hundreds of nuclear power plants all over the country is the potential for a terrorist/disgruntled einolouee/insert anyone else with bad intentions to do...
