Max tq is around 4800rpm for the 3.6, in a truck, especially a cable shifted, slow reacting trans, I just don't see the benefit. Its not any quicker. Now I kinda want to plug my draggy in and see, for science:)
Send er bud:) 5 13's made world's of difference, even with the stock clutch. I guess I'm just not impressed by ripping all 310hp to the moon, lol. I've been paying attention more to my rpms, scince the clutch install. Even getting after it, I'm only at 4-4200 maybe the centerforce is different...
Our JK had terrible clack from the stock drag link. Finally went aluminum Barnes and it went away completely. There are some heavy duty boots, but that only masks it for a while.
I dont think I have ever had the need to rev it past 4500, I take it your not geared at all. That would also help your idle speed. The only time we are in first is off road, or when I'm hooked to my sxs trailor, normal driving even with the stock clutch we start in 2nd with the 5.13's
Welcome to the world of Jeep. Even the aftermarket for Jeep seems to have the mentality of "good enough" our willys had the outline of "gladiator" on the driver's side of the hood because they miss stickered it. Just have to accept it, and take comfort in the fact that it will hold its value...
I thought bleeding was goin to be a nightmare too, but it went flawlessly doing it the way CF recommends. I just pumped the slave about 15 times, installed it, and gtg. Maybe I got lucky.
Going to 5.13's with 37's made all the difference in usable power curve. That said, we have the mopar soft top, love it. year round hear in Michigan and its holding up well, low noise for canvas on the expressway at 80-mph.
Did you put the door back on to see if it would start? Thats the only way to eliminate things. If you pull the door and it wont start, put it back on and verify it will start. If it does, your on the right track.
Stellantis wont do anything except continue to band aid the situation until your "warranty" runs out. In the meantime, if your trans frags, your still going to be making those payments on a disabled jeep.
Correct, the centerforce kit was $1580 or so from summit racing. I know my local dealer quotes 6hrs for clutch change so I would say another $600-$1000 if you weren't able to install yourself.
