I will not by any means be bashing and beating on the suspension, out in these parts we have mild-mid 2 track trails and graded dirt roads. there is the occasional outcroppings you have to wheel up. I have a buddy who only works on Jeeps, but the steel ones from 1940-1980. My JT is the only...
To be honest I am still sceptical about clearance between tire and fender with 37's, but I will cross that bridge this weekend when i go out farther into the middle of nowhere. I will be TAZER flashing the new tire size and then if i can find some help I will put my overland rack back on, grab...
I am going to second this, but a set of 40's or 42's would fill in the missing rubber on those 20's.
All in all, good looking jeep and welcome to the great world of Jeep!
I live half way across the country from MI and in the mountains in the middle of nowhere. the closest "shop" to me is 175mi south in Las Vegas, so all the work on the JT is done by me and a buddy who specializes in old jeeps lol. Tape measure alignment is getting easier for me though hahaha.
I was going to go with some 35's, but after conversing with a few outstanding members of this community I was told to go 37's or I would regret it later.
So, I am also doing the AEV 2" spacer with a 3/4" spacer up front to level it out, and going with 37's. That being said, with 2 3/4" up front do I have to get a set of GEO brackets or LCA's (either Mopar 2", or adjustable?) to avoid any issues down the road? I'm mostly street and minor-mid...
I have the Warn plate, "takeoff" Factory steel bumper and 12K BL Synthetic. Mine fits just fine and doesn't block any airflow. I think my lights might block more airflow than the winch lmao.
I will be up in Carson/Tahoe area from the 7th-10th of August. Will be doing a Memorial for my late father who took my brother and I up to Tahoe and Hot August Nights every year we could afford it for as long as I can remember. So now that I will have the JT finally trail ready, I plan on doing...
I'm just reading this thread, Beautiful build in a beautiful state.
Did some time up there at JBER. At that time, I had a 16'JKUR and did a lot of exploring..... until I got a little wild and laid her over. one of my favorite runs was up through hatchers pass. the small "mirror" lake and views...
I will be attempting the Rubicon this year in the beginning of august. wouldn't mind having a party to run it with me, as it will be the most technical trail I have ever thought of attempting.
