I just installed mine a few days ago (Aux battery died and couldn't start my jeep after install) but I went with the Warn plate on a Mopar steel bumper with 0 issues other than shaving the winch handle to clear the top of the bumper.

On another note, I have been running a 6 shooter on my 99 XJ. Absolutely love being able to put the remote in my pocket with a little daylight left at the camp spot, I could be 100-150 feet away getting wood, and cant find your jeep but you know your close...... hit a rocker switch on the remote...

I've got the factory aux switches and haven't had to run a wire through the firewall. there's a factory harness under the hood that you connect your lights to.

Only reason I had my big 3500 was to pull my dad's trailers around if we needed to move them around. now that he's passed on it was time to get rid of it. But he did leave me a 05 2x4 Silverado 2500HD that's paid off. so, I still have something to move trailers around if need be.

@Artsifrtsi showed me what a basically stock JT felt like on that trail and I was hooked on getting back into a jeep.
