What they both said. I had the same issue once I moved out of an apartment, and wanted to warm it up in the winter. I believe it is either under "convenience" or "doors and locks" within your uconnect settings.
+1 for CMM. Very high build quality, super easy to install and remove (one thumb screw to install or remove) and very stable. No vibrations or anything, even up to the JT's max speed of 98mph (so I have heard ).They are pricy compared to some other options, but well worth the extra cost.
I have not seen any new posts lately on this topic, but mine still makes the noise. I showed the service advisor and had them make a note of it, but nothing past that. Not sure if it is related, but I am having issues with steering wheel related electronics, but I think that is due to a bad...
Michigan here (arguably some of the worst roads and highest salting rates), 52k miles, 3 winters, quite a bit of off roading - I have some rust. The first winter my JT was kept in a carport, the second two it was in a garage that hovered around 40 degrees. All my factory paint has been worn off...
I am quite curious to see how this turns out. Michigan and a few other states allow triple towing, as long as the first trailer is a fifth wheel/gooseneck, and weight wise, this would allow triple towing a single jet ski behind the Scamp. Theoretically speaking, at least ?
Yes, I do. It has been awhile since I looked under there, but I only remember seeing one grommet. Check out the install instructions for the Aux switches, it gives some decent insight to wiring through the firewall.
I can't speak to removing the battery for access, but you can peel back the fender liner away from the cab and engine and get access to that grommet without removing any rivets. It is tight, but doable. Also, rather than poking a hole through the grommet, just remove the zip tie and feed it in...
Interesting spot for the rear fog, I have usually seen them on bumpers near the lower reflectors. Between the bumper and tailgate could be a decent spot for a chase light.
Thought I would post another update. I have not had the chance to bring it into the dealer, but after driving it a couple weeks after snugging up the wiring as best I could, I noticed some changes. First, the ACC only cancels about 3/4 the way to full lock, and in one direction only (win!). The...
Quick update, I tore into the dash a little last night, I did not see anything visually concerning, and snugged up all the connections behind the airbag, and down the steering column (that I could reach). I ensured all fuses were seated as well. Put everything back together, and went on a two...
I installed the spacer, and did not adjust the drag link after. I added the spacer to compensate for bumper and winch weight, and the alignment check came back good afterwards. There was 8 or so months between installing the spacers and this issue starting.
Hey all, been dealing with this issue for 6+ months now, but over the last couple months it has became significantly worse. Quick facts: 2020 JTR, 46,000 miles, stock wheels/tires, only suspension change is a 1" front suspension spacer. The issue I am running into is that my ACC and cruise...
Are you crazy for considering it? Absolutely not! The JT is great, and I love mine, but the TRX is awesome, in its own sense. I would say if it makes more sense for your family and lifestyle, and you are in a financial position to trade up to one, do it! I see a lot of TRX's on the road near me...
I have heard of people using the films, and they seem to like them. To me it still doesn't change the impact force, just might distribute it some. I have Diamon Fusion on mine and love it. I work for a glass fabricator and we use it on showers (basically rainx on steroids that permanently bonds...
THANK YOU! I have had the light issues as well, but figured the Tazer would cover that like other said. But being able to leave the JT in ACC has been a struggle for me. This has been a big frustration for me, both for keeping the radio on (big reason I have yet to take the JT to the drive in)...
I have been wondering about these as well. I am curious to see how people like them once they put some miles on them. I will be in the market for new tires in about a year, and am between these and duratracs, leaning towards duratracs simply because of knowing several people that love them...
Interesting, I am curious to know how Ford's engine bays in other vehicles with that same engine look. To me the JL/JT looks a lot more polished, whereas the Bronco looks like what I would expect on a preproduction mule. Even removing the engine cover, the 3.6 does not look as messy.
Any updates on this? Did the problem go away on its own or did you just get used to it? I started having this exact same noise a couple days ago at 35,900 miles, so trying to see if it is worth bringing it in for a warranty claim or not before I hit 36k.
Sorry to hear about your experience dealing with that, but it seems to be on par with the experience a lot of us have had with leaky rear windows. Personally I brought mine in, and they replaced it in about a week but scratched the snot out of the hard top and tried touching it up with a paint...
