The 2023 Tacoma and 2024 4Runner are the last offroad Toyotas I would consider. Their quality/reliability has absolutely tanked for their updated models, and have since moved to 4 cylinder turbo charged engines, hard pass!
I thought I got a great deal getting 49k out the door for my new 23 rubicon, sticker was I think 65k! After taxes and fees yours will probably be close to that, depending on what state your in. I’m in california so lots of taxes and fees lol
They can be incredibly dangerous, even lethal, when used improperly(there's a reason there are guides titled "how to keep your Hi-Lift from killing you"), and are much more dangerous than a standard bottle jack. Also their most likely isn't even any safe points the Hi Lift can lift from on the...
Does anyone on here have the flat plate Rock hards? Rock Hard 4x4™ RHX Series Tube Slider Rocker Guards - Flat Step for Jeep Gladiator JT 2020 - Current [RH-80124]
I guess im just a little worried they might stick out too far and look goofy?
You could always just polish your paint afterwards with something like scratch-x, it gets rid of 90% of a scratch to the point you can’t really see it. Its rarethat any scratch that doesn’t break through the clear coat. I’ve wheeled down so many tight trails over the years, it’s very rare to get...
Truth be told I have my 2 door for the crazy rock crawling. The Mopar performances will serve me for now I think. I can always sell them a few years from now and get frame mounted ones.
I think I’ve decided I’m going to pick up some Mopar Performance rock sliders. There’s a guy selling a brand new set for 500 bucks. I know they aren’t the beefiest, however I’m going to eventually reinforce them myself. I plan on welding on additional brackets that tie it into the body mount...

I had to email them to get the weight numbers. Im either going with these or the Mopar Performance Sliders. I love the flat beam style...
Personally I cant stand coolers. Buying ice before every trip, buying more ice halfway through a trip, soggy food, having to dig through ice blindly searching for what you packed. Which especially sucks while winter camping, getting your hands ice cold and wet is no fun.
i just personally do...
I guess what I’m asking is if 200 pounds is unusually heavy for a set of sliders. Like what is the typical weight for set of gladiator sliders that people are using.
If you had the option between Mopar performance side steps and rock hard 4x4 angled up tube steps, which one would you go with? I like both for different reasons. I like how the Mopars look a lot better and the fact they protect the fenders. However I’m concerned they might not bump out enough...
I genuinely have zero idea why people are taking this seriously. If you go to the website you’ll find the image was created by carscoop. Unless carscoop secretly designs the official jeep vehicles then it means nothing. It’s a click bait article
Oh hell no! I’m gonna be on 37s and lifted haha. But it could be done in theory… this dude is a lot crazier than most, I was shocked to see him make it through the entire trail without body damage or any failures.
I’ve seen a lot of posts of people with smashed oil pans across the JK/JT forum, and people who have had transmission lines ripped out because they weren’t covered with a plate. Don’t want that to happen to me, there’s a lot of rocky trails out west. Im especially gonna need it when I start...
