  1. Leasing a Jeep Gladiator

Don't think so. My parents drove their leased vehicle to the US from Canada many times. Same with our commercial leases, did a few runs to the states.
  2. Leasing a Jeep Gladiator

I believe they do. I know my parents leased their SUV, at the end, they decided last minute to keep it, rather than give back and buy a new one. Dealer was not happy, the buy out was 5K less then the resale value, they even offered parents 2k cash, plus the 5K difference as down payment on the...
  3. Leasing a Jeep Gladiator

Very well said. My family has always said, "if your spending money, have something to show for it" , which is why I wasn't a fan of leasing, other than business vehicles. But yea, considering the same thing for same reasons, on either the JT or a JLU.
  4. Canadian gladiator's arriving

Been told by a dealer that they'll have a black overland on the lot within 1-2 weeks .
  5. Get ready to get reamed....

Brutal. Just dropped my truck off at Dewildt in Hamilton. I have purchased there before and they're pretty good. Sales guy said the gladiators are arriving in next week or 2, and no factory or dealer incentives, pretty much at msrp. Said there might be some wiggle room, but not much.
  6. Leasing a Jeep Gladiator

Same here. Would never sell my YJ, then my JK, then my new JK. Now all 3 are gone, and I'm anxious to get me next one. Buying/financing a new Jeep means I'm in it for the next 5-7 years. I just feel a lease gives me more options in 3 years. Might it cost a bit more to have those options...
  7. Get ready to get reamed....

Last point on the non-gladiator topic. I just wish context was taken in to account and the way a word is being used, rather than just the words and what it might be associated with. I guess that's the point I really wanted to get across, but yea, all good. Anyways, back to gladiator, I'm...
  8. Get ready to get reamed....

It's not that there is a word I want to use and can't, that's not what, for lack of a better word, bothers me about the word changes, but the perception that you're ignorant or whatever for using a word you thought was ok, but isn't anymore and you didn't know. I'll use an example, that in...
  9. Get ready to get reamed....

I'm indifferent to it all. What bothers me, is that today "rape" is wrong, so we stop using it, then it will be "reamed" because it can be interpreted as the same thing, and then it will be another word. So you end up offending people because you can't keep up with them. PC culture is what...
  10. Leasing a Jeep Gladiator

I I see what you mean. Yea, I had hoped to avoid a large down payment, but I did figure if I pulled the trigger, I'd try and put down the difference, $15,000, and go from there .
  11. Gladiator Canadian Order guide with pricing.

Nice. Well, fingers crossed we can take these things for a spin in a few weeks.
  12. Gladiator Canadian Order guide with pricing.

Thanks. Just talked to one of the local dealers, they say they have one in transit, should be here by mid may according to him. I have to go in tomorrow for oil change, will talk to sales guy, see if he has anything to add to what you have.
  13. Leasing a Jeep Gladiator

So, in your opinion, it's bad to roll an outstanding finance in to a lease? I bought a truck on a long term 7 year finance, thinking I'd have it for at least 5 years, and trade in would be higher than balance. 2.5 years in, I want to go back to a Jeep. The trade in value of my truck is...
  14. For sale in Canada

Is there a build sheet for that one? 53 is base price for rubicon is it not?
  15. For sale in Canada

Car gurus has 13 listed for sale in Canada. Dealer in thornhill has an overland listed, build sheet lists msrp at $60,000, selling price is $64,000 give or take. So they may be listing above msrp up here as well. My local dealer emailed me today saying that he can now build/price one out...
  16. They've arrived in Canada!

So car gurus has 13 listed for sale in Ontario, and Grimsby dealership sent me a quote for a gladiator built like the JLU I was looking at, and its $8500 above the similar JLU. Dealer in Thorndike has an overland for $4500 above MSRP, says it's in transit .
  17. TFLTruck makes the best argument for not buying a Gladiator

Same here. 2 years ago I sold my JK for a ram 1500. We bought a horse and farm to go with it, so thought I needed the pickup. It comes in handy grabbing bales of Hay, but I miss my Jeep. This summer it's either a JLU or a JT. I'd rather have the work of hooking up a trailer for hay runs...
  18. They've arrived in Canada!

If it was a brute, then they had a JL front bumper. I've been debating a lease on a JLU, so I've been noticing them more. That's why I was so off guard when I saw it, I figure it was another JL, when I looked over it was a pickup. I did think afterwards maybe it was a brute, but looked like...
  19. They've arrived in Canada!

Just drove past a black one on the Linc in Hamilton. Looked like an overland, based on the fact I didn't notice any red hooks. Was going in opposite direction, so no pictures, but I saw it! In case any members from the hammer, was on the Linc by upper Wentworth overpass.
  20. Inventory search tool includes Gladiators in transit to local dealerships

A while back they were claiming to already be taking and placing orders, so I called them. Said they were expecting some rubicons, and that they didn't have price or builds, but were taking deposits for first dibs. I asked if deposits were refunded if we didn't like the builds or the price...
