I'm planning on going 35x12.5 on the stock Willys rims, with a 2" lift. Hoping that I won't have any issues/rubbing--from what folks are saying, it sounds promising
Tempted to do the same... But I think that would start me down the rabbit hole if I move to 35s, I'll probably need a 2" lift...
@Garemlin did you sell all 5 or just 4 for $700?
You should be able to get some off MSRP in New England, but I haven't heard/seen a dealer that will do the 7-8% off invoice as others would. Unless you're down for a flight and road trip!
Had a gas, before the diesel came out, ended up trading it in 6 months later for the diesel. Definitely made the right decision.
If I was worried about cost of maintenance, I would have purchased a Honda, not a Jeep... ;)

They have a few different product lines. X-clean is listed, but X-cess it not Additionally, they have Gen 2 lines for X-clean and X-cess, but it looks like the Gen 2 X-clean isn't MS-12991 approved.
Finally! Something that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. Awesome!

I'd be surprised if you're only seeing 12 mpg towing... I just towed a 12" wood chipper around all weekend and was averaging 20 mpg. Love this engine.
On topic, personally, I don't see the tank as an issue--the mileage vs. the gasser is about the same. Not really sure what I had expected, but...
I think it's a bit tough to compare engine oil vs. transmission fluid (think apples to oranges). Where is this solid empirical data you speak of?
The way I look at it--if ZF is putting in semi-synthetic and claiming it'll last the lifetime... Then leave it at that. I would trust a corporate...
I experienced the same thing, but it didn't matter what I was playing--it seemed like the volume wasn't getting any louder when you got past 28. Could have been via Bluetooth, CarPlay, Sirius--they were all the same. I assumed it was just a limitation of the not-so-great sound system.
You'll see there have been a slew of folks that have had to bring their EcoDiesel back to the dealer for faulty DEF-related items. I haven't had any issues in the 3000 miles I've had mine (which was through the winter).
