Yep. The GC w/ 3.6 absolutely sucks towing. Hence my comment above regarding towing a 3500lb trailer. I tow every other weekend here in CO and its miserable towing through the mountains (6k-12k feet). Like you said, it’ll drop down to 3rd and run 5k rpm and lose speed going up a pass and hover...
Like I said in my original post, i hope Im wrong and it was just a hunch thought I had. Seeing the guys here getting mixed info and answers about their diesel builds.
I hope I'm wrong and it's purely speculation and not really related, but I see the mopar lift for the JT diesel has been delayed until November timeframe, which makes me wonder if the JT diesel production is being delayed for various reasons as well.
This^. Because towing w/ the 3.6 even with 4.88s through the Colorado rockies every other weekend during the summer would suck. Even a 3500lb camper would have the 3.6 struggling. My logic for the diesel was for the torque and not having to keep the rpms up high like you would on the 3.6...
I thought the exact same thing with their numbers and why I just gave up this morning. I found at least 6-7 errors in their spec sheet and option guide related to the diesel JTR. Just doesnt add up or make sense.
States the payload is 1075 on rubicon but their gCWR calculation and note below doesnt make sense to me.
1325 sport
1275 overland
1175 Mojave?
1075 rubicon
Yep Im going through it now and already finding issues not by choice. stating 4.10 standard in rubicon, 3.73 not an option or even a star saying diesel only. Doesnt state you cant have the full-time rock-trac with the diesel but based on info provided thus far, you can only get the part-time...
