WAYYYY back in the day, the owners' manual that came with most cars included instructions on how to properly adjust your sideview mirrors to eliminate blind spots. Most people (due to poor driver education for many decades now) adjust their mirrors so they can see the side of their own car from...
I wouldn't. Seems to be about the best deal going nationwide shared with SLC. You're talking half a percent delta, depending on what you're actually ordering. Take it and smile.
I just entered successfully. Interestingly, reading through the rules, it reads like you and your heirs own that thing and every part of it fo-evah.
"Prize and any element thereof, including any products or gift cards received as a prize, may not be sold, resold, auctioned, bartered, or placed...
I think Jeep themselves is divided in that regard. They gave it a Ram 1500 back end, but can't stop talking about "lifestyle". The V6 (and the price) is my biggest misgiving on the Gladiator. If they gave it a fascia more akin to the original Gladiator, they wouldn't have the cooling limitations...
Just read through the Four Wheeler article. Here's why I have my doubts:
The Gladiator suffered quite a bit in the power plant capability department to keep the maximum amount Jeep aesthetics and parts interchange. Cooling has been widely touted as the most significant limiting factor. If...
I think some people are looking at it wrong. It's definitely a thing that grows on you, but the Gladiator is, at its very core, a pretty ugly truck... Like, really ugly. Way too upright on the sides, disproportionate cab/bed. The design aesthetic pretty much falls apart aft of the C-pillars...
Haven't done it yet, but I have some deadfall up on the canyon wall that needs to come down. Too steep and loose to get any machinery up there. Too big to do it by hand with any control. Buildings down below a lot of it too... Careful application of force required.
Bed bears are at least better than the cab bears. Those are available in the Rocky Mountain market. Real PITA to uninstall; requires a specialist most of the time.
We have a toddler and a very strict no food in the cabin policy. If we need to eat on the road, it's sitting on the tailgate...
Also it's a great way to get CO poisoning if you don't do like the manual says and roll down door windows at the same time (former 4Runner owner) in the SUVs. In the truck, it's a great way to get a bunch of bed debris in your cab.
If you want one, that is what it is. You said you can wait. The one you found isn't exactly what you want.
You said you're in PA, so Gupton is likely your closest 8% below invoice dealer (assuming you're willing to travel a bit). Give them a call, do all the things, order exactly what you want...
I guess I'm old too, but a few years behind you. I stick to a reasonable speedometer devaiation above the posted speed limit. I.e., 35 mph limit = 37-38 mph driven. I don't often encounter speed limits higher than 65 mph. Combined with the mpg gains from living at altitude, I'm looking forward...
There's a story on Mopar insiders yesterday where a JL has been spotted testing with 35s. I think it said they were BFG AT KO2s. Jeep seems to think they're Jeep-worthy, and from experience I can tell you they're pretty quiet. Might be your answer right there.
I wonder if that has anything to do with the recent spate of dealers being "unable" to recalibrate for larger tires?
Letting the darker part of my brain run free for a minute... Fiat gave Jeep a pretty long leash with the JL/JT. There are a LOT of details that the bean counters and lawyers at...
Now for an actual rumor instead of a wish list:
Looks like the JLs may get a 35" tire option.

It's late in the game for 2022, but the development burden is pretty much zero. Going from JL to JT is...
I hope not in a bad way. Sorry if so. You say you don't want to send them off and wouldn't replace them if they died in a fire. Are you wanting to learn to fix them yourself? You could probably get tooled up for less than sending them off, and a handful inexpensive practice watches could...
Munkey Boy is on the nose. MPG. If they sell a car (or certain percentage of cars) with steel wheels and their attendant heavier unsprung weight, it counts against fleet mpg for regulatory compliance purposes. Same reason you can't get a soft top without a tonneau; soft top drops mpg, tonneau...
In the US, the Gladiator (and all mid-size trucks) are "Class 1" which is defined as a GVWR of up to 6K#. The lesser of that or the vehicle's actual capability minus the weight of the vehicle are what defines the payload capacity from a legal perspective. Full size payloads go up to 8.5K#, and...
OK... Well... Consider this for what it's worth, because who the hell am I? Sell them all. None are heirlooms (which is what I had in mind when you said they were vintage), and they're clearly not all that special to you. You don't even really seem all that into them. There was a whole thing a...
